The Pink Ninja’s ski poles looked a little long for her on a packed trail with deep snow on the sides. Hopefully they are adjustable. If not, it looks like she will grow into them soon enough. The shelter looks like it was well worth the effort.

@dominicpring25263 жыл бұрын
Hi Lars thank you for the video. Looking forward to the hot tent trip there. I don't know if you know but we've stolen some of your snow here in the UK. So thank you for that. It's not that deep here in Beverley about 3 to 4 centimetres. As it's not that cold only about 0º so the snow is wet. Not nice and powdery like what you've got. But it's better then nothing. I went out yesterday in my Telogreika and I can tell you it was way to warm. To the point that I was walking around in the trousers but with only a light weight summer Craghoppers shirt on top while it was snowing with winds of about 20mph. In your video The Secret To Dressing For A Russian Winter you said that you don't want to hike in the Telogreika. And I didn't believe you, last time I do that lol. The reason I didn't believe you is because I've been camping with a one season sleeping bag as that's all I've got and the Telogreika. When sleeping with it on I was a bit cold in minus 2º so I thought it would be fine for walking in. I discovered that it works best when your active because it traps your body heat in and insulates you. But because the outer is canvas it doesn't work that well for sleeping. Because canvas unlike micro fleece and wool doesn't trap air in the little air gaps. So the canvas blocks the insulating properties of the cotton and wool mix inside the Telogreika unlike a wool felt suit would do. Having said all that i might be wrong but I'm sure you'll know the answer. Cheers Dominic.
