Lars S -- how do you do that ?? What is your secret for school?? Could you Share Please !!❤
@larss5923 жыл бұрын
@@ireneturner2944 Well Irene i don't know if i can explain all. The simple conversion of fractions to decimal are easy( no tricks there) at least none that i use. Percentages as in for tips, sales and markups is well known. 10% move decimal, 15% move decimal and add half result. 18% same with half again rounded up. Etc. ( Some are estimates but on tips and sales close is sufficient) Fractions for tools is to multiply each nom and denom x 2 bigger top usually wins size. Checkbook use process described on back of book or statement for reconciling but slightly diff order. Subtract outstanding( no check marks for coinciding numbers, book v statement ) after and result should be current balance not the balance at end of their statement date. Less confusing. School? I attended public school in michigan but not inner city. Started there but moved further away as i got older. I was an exceptional student but bad kid. Only bcuz i was bored. Math was easy for me. Slept in class a lot and yet would ace tests. Was accused of cheating multiples of times. Took additional impromptu tests and usually aced those as well. Ticked them off. My schools taught all history not only agenda based. So my knowledge of overall history was generally more thorough. I was reading and spelling as well as defining on a college level in 6th grade. Played that down alot to lessen the bullying. Redheaded frecklefaced stepchild with a temper. Not sure if any of that helps but you asked. Lol

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger with the tool ID problem. When we got our first ladies in our Air Force maintenance shop, they had learned well in tech school, knew their basic troubleshooting, and would work as hard as any of the guys, The one shortcoming was--almost none of then had ever handled hand tools before, neither prior to joining nor even at tech school. So a basic "This is a #2 Phillip's screwdriver, this is a 3/8 socket, this is a 7/16 wrench" class was called for. They caught on quickly.

I always tried to make a point of including my wife when working on something so that she could learn for any potential problems in the future. She resusted quite a bit but once she started to learn more i would hear her tell her triumphs to others and feel good that she had learned. I also taught her to cook. Ex chef. Now she has prowess in the kitchen and grill. When we met she was a swanson dinner gal.
