since you said you’re more into girl groups and liked zhang hao’s vocals, i’d really recommend checking out zhang hao’s lee mujin service! he’s a big girl group stan so he did covers of stayc and taeyon, and if you thought his voice was good here, i think you’ll really enjoy those as i feel like zb1’s songs do not do a good job of showcasing just how beautiful his voice is. his cover of “so bad” by stayc in particular is one of my favourite kpop covers i’ve ever heard.

absolutely ADORE zersobaseone they are all so incredibly talented... i've never seen a group so well balanced and just click like they did. hope you check out more of them. other newer boy groups that are doing really well currently are Riize(SMs new bg) & TWS(svt brother group)

at the end of the studio choom video, they show the members in age order, which is almost the same as the kpop profiles page except that that page lists hanbin first because he is the leader, but he is the 3rd oldest. the order in terms of age goes jiwoong - hao - hanbin - matthew - taerae - ricky - gyuvin - gunwook - yujin. so that's how you know who is who at the end of that video!

About ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) : ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) is a boy group which was formed through Mnet's survival show called "BOYS PLANET". The group is managed by WAKEONE Entertainment. They debuted on July 10, 2023 with their 1st Mini Album "YOUTH IN THE SHADE". Their debut MV : In Bloom (The MV was released on July 10, 2023). Their fandom name is "ZE_ROSE". The group is composed of 9 members : Kim Tae Rae, Park Gun Wook, Sung Han Bin (Leader), Han Yu Jin (Maknae), Seok Matthew, Kim Ji Woong, Kim Gyu Vin, Ricky (Chinese) and Zhang Hao (Chinese).

They have good b-side songs too! Maybe you can give it a try to their whole album 😆 And also since you love Zhang Hao's vocals, please listen to Zhang Hao's solo song on youth in the shade album named "Always" (he got this solo song because it's his benefit for getting 1st place) and he also has a new OST for EXchange 3 "I Wanna Know"

also nowadays is very hard to find rookie boygroups that SING sing! like ofc they focus mostly on dancing/choreography but sometimes i miss strong vocalists like ZB1's Taerae/Zhanghao/Hanbin and RIIZE's Sohee all ZB1 members have great voices and they perform with live vocals almost all the time

i loved their music so i binged all of Boys Planet in like 3 days a couple weeks ago, now i declared them as one of my ult groups. their debut is refreshing for a boy group bc new boy groups usually come out with hard hitting loud music. ZB1 came out and they gave us something like this. they are a VOCAL group!!! looking forward to more!

drum and bass is my favorite music genre and ZEROBASEONE just does it so well, even with their bsides. i especially love it when boygroups do this genre

The one you pointed out in the dance practice video the guy who "kinda stood out?" they guy with th number 2 at the back of his shirt, is Seok Matthew. He was a street dancer when he was in Canada and his forte are open style and groovy dance. I think he had to make bigger movements because his teammates has longer limbs which will allow them to create bigger lines and pictures so he has to put in extra effort to keep up with those expanded lines since he's relatively shorter than them. He is my favorite in this group. His fancams are always so fun to watch because he enjoys performing so much.

for Hanbin’s specialty thing on their kprofile, the “being able to bear hot things and waacking” means that he’s good at eating spicy food/has a high spice tolerance and he’s really at waacking which is a style of dance

for once i disagree with some of kprofile's information, some of the members that they put "speak english" are not fluent so it's misleading but Gyuvin that they put " speaks a little bit" is entirely fluent in English

right lol the only people in the group we've ever seen speak english for an extended period of time are matthew (canadian, native english speaker), ricky (lived in LA so it's a second language he's fluent in) and gyuvin (who speaks in english to fans, occasionally answers english interview questions, and speaks to ricky in english sometimes, so he's about as fluent as he can be for never having lived in an english-speaking country). hao seems to speak conversational english as you can hear him speaking it occasionally on boys planet, one of the bp contestants mentioned he speaks english, gyuvin said they recruited him to help hao when he joined yuehua because they could communicate in english, and every now and then he speaks one or two sentences in english during lives/fan calls, but that's all we know. hanbin does not speak english and no one else does either so i'm not sure where those profiles get that info from!

i find zb1 to be very vocally strong which is very refreshing to me! they currently have 3 mvs (in bloom, crush, melting point). but for vocal showcases, they do this series where kim taerae (the main vocal) goes around hotel rooms while they are abroad and they do a noraebang-like jamming sessions (he plays the guitar too) with every member called taerae show. taerae show ep. 1 in japan, ep. 2 in LA, and ep. 3 in paris would be so fun to react to!❤️

i love their sound SO MUCH. this debut was everything i could ask for everyone was glad it wasn't just a typical boygroup harder song. they're changing the game fr, the era of boygroups is starting now with ZB1, RIIZE, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS

Thank you so much for reacting to zb1!! They just had their japanese debut with their Single „Yura Yura“ and i personally love the song, maybe you could react to it?❤ Also! Zhang Hao appeared on Lee Mujin Service where he covered 4/5 song, so if you could react to that, I would look very forward to it! 😁❤️

I think it's worth checking out the rest of the Youth in the Shade album as well as a guide or two. Some decent ones are by the channels Tangee and/or Haobins. They're really talented guys, and I feel like their debut didn't show their full potential due to nerves. Also yeah, zerobaseone is a mouthful. ZB1 is fine. 😂 53:49 I hope you take some time for your health!! Always an important priority :)
