I got a snap on #2 Phillips stubby and I have to say it’s the only snap on tool I have where I was unimpressed by the craftsmanship. The seam from the handle was present like in yours and frankly that’s unacceptable (nitpicky sure but not at the price they’re commanding). In addition the screwdriver isn’t nearly as tight as the normal snap on #2 Phillips I have.

As others have said, I've also had these for several years now, both Phillips and flat bit. Nothing new. Mine also have a better finish, but I rarely use them.

I received the new style stubbies when I bought a screwdriver set a few months ago but didn’t realize they were the new improved version. They are very tiny.

I got a couple of these at the end of last year. They have the same bad parting line. I’m surprised they haven’t improved it yet

On the topic of long-shank stubby screwdrivers I have a couple stubbies from Vessel they have basically no shank, just the philips #2 & flat for its brother. I never use them, basically drag my knuckles on everything. maybe theres a happy medium between the snappy and that.

yeah, triangle or hexagon work best in hands I've always like the older stuff better HUGE seams really bother me! have to take a hobby knife to those kinda makes these $$$ Snap-On tools look cheap

I can't do trilobe handles, they just don't work for my hands. Quadlobe or octagonal for me.

Snap-on need to figure out how to have a screw driver that has a handle with a warranty. I've got one they has had the blade replaced so many times that the it now spins in the handle now.

I know dealers that give you a whole new screwdriver. Mind you the only time I’ve seen it is with guys who buy complete socket sets and boxes from the dealer. But realistically the handle is probably cheaper then the shaft.

I Agree I Hate The Finish on The New Sutubby..it feels ITS Going to Slice your fingers and hand..Very Poor Craftmanship kinda wondering if they ate made in CHINA..
