Depends on your interests, the Magus is widely available, But it may not be the most approachable for the beginner. Are you looking just as a casual interest, or actual working​ Remember, the Magus is a collection based on earlier works, a "best of" assortment The Ritual Magic Workbook by Nowicki is a good place to Start , as is the Self Initiation intent he Golden Dawn Tradition by Cicero @JohnW.-iu4my

Thanks Jeff! It takes a lot more time to make, but I do really enjoy finding the right images to fit the narrative, though sometimes loftier philosophical texts are very difficult to illustrate (e.g. Plotinus). Hard to depict things that are incorporeal, which is probably why Plotinus didn't want anyone making images of himself either.

Dan, do you speculate the stars being the angels? I can’t think of a better person to ask.

The ancients taught that there were angels and intelligences set over the stars (like humans have their spiritual doubles), but not that the stars were themselves angels. The Hermetic Asclepius calls the planets 'sensible gods', which are like heads to the noetic bodies of the intelligible gods.

Nope, just dusting off an old classic. My next big publishing project is the Latin Hermetica project, then the Ouranomachia/Metromachia project, and then there's other stuff in the pipeline but it's too far off in the future to speculate on whether it will see the light of day.
