I love that you painted the baseboards before installing them. Sometimes I think I'm the only one in the world who insists on painting trim before it's installed. I did that before our contractor put in the trim around our new windows -- who wants to stand on a two story ladder? He said I was the only one he knows who does that!

Congratulations on completing the first floor! Brilliant work, stunning cabinetry by Karl, amazing chevron wood flooring, perfect sage green paint and those botanical pictures.......each one just amazing and so beautifully hung and arranged in your new study! What a welcoming and peaceful learning space for your children and both of you as well! As for your auction house, I would have left there with the stripy blue sofa with brass nails and the red/burgundy corner cupboard!!!!!! Enjoy your new space and Happy New Year! Cheers!
