Amen to everything you’ve said Grace. I’ve never had a subscription box either, but I think it’s freakin awesome that people who are passionate have turned it into a soul-aligned business. As a society we’ve turned making money into a bad thing and we should be embracing abundance especially when we’re passionate about the work/product. Each to their own! Love, love, loved this topic ❤️❤️❤️ Such amazing tips x

I just do what feels the best for me. I’ve retired some of my brought tools in favour of the ones I’ve made myself. I’m not going to start casting a cauldron from iron or forging a blade, but by taking plain manufactured items and natural items from nature I can kraft beautiful things which contain much of myself. If you have no interest in art and kraft then buy nice things and be happy. There is no single right way. Much love 💗

I also appreciate your message - offered with such warmth and generosity. Thanks for adding to the conversation. My concern with the sub boxes, etc. is not meant to judge, or to diminish anyone's choices or spiritual journey, but to remind us all of the issue of consumerism, waste, and the health of our beautiful planet. We are all interconnected. I'd guess that those who have expressed concern have done so for similar reasons.

Loved this and was deff a message i needed to hear right now. I do get a touch bitter when I watch people who feel the need to own every single tarot deck in existence, get all the witchy subscription boxes, etc.knowing that I simply couldn't afford it. But on the other hand, when I do have money, I choose to spend it differently anyhow, cause I have different values and also get easily bored with new "stuff".Lately, since I've been on a Depth Year, I have been valuing experiences over materials, but that will likely change again as I go through my diff life cycles, after all I am still transitioning out of the perpetually broke "uni student" mindset. But I love how you said we should celebrate each other's abundance - that's a lovely way to look at it. And truth be told, I can be just as judgemental of the so called "minimalists" who act like not owning stuff makes them more conscious, evolved, enlightened etc. Lol. At the end of the day, it's not my business what people want to spend their money on and why, but watching others review products etc. helps me to make more informed decisions with my own money which, as a frugal taurus with rather expensive taste, gives me a lot of comfort. Lol. So it's really all good. To each his own. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this poignant topic.

Mmmmmm! I bet that Morgan Greer deck is soft as butter. I love old decks. LOL. Yes! If you want to be a card reader, you have to have a deck of cards, and you really only need one. I do a lot of foraging for my spellcrafting supplies. Gifts from nature, thrift shops, etc. But I also subscribe to a monthly box, because who doesn’t love new toys now and then... and sometimes it introduces me to new ideas and practices. I agree with you concerning what one *needs*. In the end, the things are just things, it’s the intention that matters.

Yeeessss! This is why I love you Rue! You always keep it kind and real. You accept and welcome all kinds of practitioners and throw out the superiority and holier than thou attitudes we sometimes see in our community. Thank you so much for being you 💜🙏🏻

I agree!! I only get one subscription box because lets face it they can get pricey. If I had the cash who knows how many I would have hahahaha!!!! But, you are correct. Whatever it is that you want will somehow get to you. Sometimes it's in my sub box, but mainly I've found them at the dollar store or the thrift stores. Shoot even the grocery stores have things we may need. As a practitioner of magic we always need to have our eyes open. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this! Love ya

First. I bought your book for my Kindle and I started reading it yesterday. Love it. Although I come from an Irish American background my dad had several Italian friends and I have many fond memories of their visits. I remember when one of these friends came over and said Joey come with us we are going to go and lug the "Broad" through the streets. Lol I remember my dad saying Frankie don't call Our Lady that! I can still hear Frankie's laugh as he dragged my dad off for the Feast of Madonna del Soccorso in the North end. Now for this topic. I 100% agree. I love watching all the videos and if I wanted to spend my money on a box I could but I find that when I have received boxes before I love opening them but I seldom use them. I no longer need specific tools for my spell work. But learning my path through the years I also utilized many items for my practice and that assisted me on my journey. There are times I like to use them now for the simple fun of of it. The celebrating of others abundance and success is where the true power is as it is through our connection to others that abundance enters our lives. True magic relies on something so simple and its completely free. Gratitude. Be grateful for everything and be happy and grateful for all the success and abundance around you. I also believe in the making of the list and what goes on and what comes off is a magical process. I agree as you said the most important is to let it go. If you need tools for magic or if you just love getting all the magical accouterments to have around you great! If you would like them and don't have them then be happy someone was able to show it to you and move towards manifesting it. Thanks for sharing!

I loved reading reading your thoughts on this subject. Thank you for posting -and thank you for buying my book! Your dad's friend referring to the Madonna as the "broad" illustrates in one word the intimate/casual relationship Italians and their descendents have with their patrons! Much love to you and anxiously awaiting your next video! xo

I watched this at work with no sound and I missed hearing your voice :-) I love your overall message, and how open and kind you are, but I personally disagree with you slightly on one minor thing. I would say that if watching people with all the stuff makes you feel bad, or it just isn't your bag, then it's absolutely fine for you not too watch. What isn't fine is telling people they shouldn't make those videos because seeing all their stuff makes you feel bad. Take personal responsibility for how you feel, watch what makes you feel good, and just leave the rest ♥

We do not disagree. If it makes you feel bad and it's not your bag, of course don't watch. It's never okay to tell other people they shouldn't make whatever video because it makes you feel bad. I am coming from the angle that if you already choose to watch, because it is your bag but, it makes you feel bad, try looking at it from a different perspective. I'm dying to watch your latest VR w/ the serious questions but I haven't recorded mine yet. I like to record my answers before reading everyone else's. Much love to you 🤗💕

@@MaryGraceFahrun Ahh that makes perfect sense. I just misunderstood what you were trying to say :-) I can't wait to see your VR to the serious questions! I will be keeping an eye on my subs feed for it :-D ♥ ♥
