For $59K, you can get the Advanced GV60 model with almost the same specs as the Performance GV60 that you drove (sans air suspension, Napa leather, and electronic limited slip diff.), which makes the Ioniq 5 Limited at $55-56K pale in comparison to the premium vibe and luxury of the GV60. Stepping down to the Ioniq 5 only makes sense if you get a much less expensive trim level. I love the looks and space of the Ioniq 5, but also love the amenities and luxury of the GV60. If only Hyundai could cross-breed those two models in some way that wouldn't give you a Dr. Moreau mongrel with two tails and a bad disposition.

Same thing. I got the Genesis gv60 perf too for the same reason. , Comparing these two vehicles based on msrp is not reflective of the market currently in 2022. Markups are quite high on the hyundai and Kia.
@TheCarCrazyGuy2 жыл бұрын
@@saisundaraghavan I don't get it. After markups the Kia/Hyundai are within a few thousand of the GV60. I got mine for MSRP + $890 of accessories. Here in California we get the $750 Clean Air Rebate.
@Mildern2 жыл бұрын
@@TheCarCrazyGuy Even without markups.. the GV60 Advanced is about $1,000 more than a EV6 GT-Line AWD. Very similar spec and feature wise too. I have the EV6 GT Line but I would have taken a GV60 if it was available at the time maybe or the Ioniq 5 limited if I coulda found one at MSRP like I did the EV6.

Both cars come with a 10k+ mark up where I live. You can’t finance the mark up, so it’s like 15k out of pocket if you want the Ioniq

I'm all about complete value. It doesn't matter to me that the Genesis has a nicer interior and better ride quality. Why do you have to pay $15,000 more and you get less range? Doesn't make any sense to me.

They cheaped out a bit on the American ioniq.... Australian ioniq for example got the same glove draw and sun roof as the Genesis. It also received full reclining front seats with leg rests for both driver and passenger. Not sure why they cut so many corners in US on this one.

The major difference I really like about the ionic 5 which I have which is a 2023 is that it rises very smooth and handles excellent in rain but it saves money in my pockets from not having to fuel up and oil changes 👍🏽👍🏽 If you get the ionic 5 you’ll automatically get 2 years free on super charging stations vs buying a Genesis and spending more money in premium gasoline 🤷🏽♂️

Why get us excited about EVs that will not have the $7500 Federal incentive? 😫 This unfortunate law is forcing Americans to Tesla since the other EVs made in the US can't compete with Tesla as Hyundai can.
