This may sound silly, but every time I hear this song, it makes me cry. I think of my adopted mother and how good she was to me, during the most difficult times in my life. When my birth family turned their backs, Mrs. Sutton, picked me up when I was DOWN. I will ALWAYS love her.

Like a breeze this Song, if you lived in the 70's...you would hear it wafting from car radios, ice cream shops...stores , and casual restaurants. It is hauntingly beautiful and unadorned , the era was difficult for sure...but unlike today. ...people were communicating on a solely different level.

I grew up listening to rock n roll, Stones, Neil Young, all of them. We would hear this on the radio and shrug. Wow, now I hear The Stylistics and the memories just roll back. I never knew until recently just how much influence these groups actually had on me. Great music is great music is GREAT music. Some of these tunes, even more than my old favorites, can make an old rocker like myself tear up with memories of days gone by. I wish I knew then what I know now - these guys were pure class.

This song gives me goose bumps 42 years later, I was 15 years old .....when I saw these guys singing this song in 1974 at CNE- Exhibtion Place in Toronto. I remember Russel Thompkins the Lead singer putting the mic down and singing without the mic and we could still hear his angelic voice thru out the stadium. I will go to my grave loving this song and The Stylistics.

Why can't anyone come out with a new movie instead of just remaking, and ruining I might add, and old movie. I think it because artist are so consumed with political correctness and social justice bull-crap that it has diminished creativity by taking off all the sharp edges that make it so great.
