I find the machine super interesting. Can you say whether there is an offset/difference between the temperature displayed on the PID control and the effective brewing temperature? In other words, can it be the case that I get 94 degrees Celsius displayed on the PID ex works, for example, but actually only brew at 91 degrees Celsius, for example?
@lamarsacoffee7 ай бұрын
There might be a bit of an offset but not by a large margin, since the Pro 700 is a dual boiler with an E61 which ensures optimum thermal stability 😊

Do you might know if there will be a successor of PRO 800 also?
@lamarsacoffee8 ай бұрын
No news at the moment, although the Pro 800 V2 was also released not too long ago. So, we doubt there will be any successor in the near future.

Does it include a shot timer? I did not see that shown as one of the OLED display options.

It does. So does the Profitec Pro 700, the predecessor.

Okay, but Lelit Bianca V3 did all of this and then some a year ago. What is the Profitec doing to compete here? The price of lelit is also $300 lower right now. I guess I don't understand the hype.

Much awaited refresh to profitec line, and seems now very similar to the sister compamy ecm line. Was in market considering bianca vs drive recently, and decided on the earlier for it's features and especially the compact and rounded looks - need to look at it everyday on my counter.

Fast speed up time? How Long Does It Take?
@SebastianBrandes23009 ай бұрын
Approx. 5 minutes to reach 93C for the brew boiler. Another 5-7 minutes to heat up the steam boiler to 129C. So about 10-12 minutes in total.
@Hundredthldiot9 ай бұрын
Yeah, but the E61 group surely won't be hot enough after such a short time. Has anyone done a scace to check how long it actually takes to be temperature stable?

What exactly feels as upgrade?
@LivingTheLifeRetired10 ай бұрын
@@pawelgedyk1762Steam power is higher so faster frothing, joystick steam and hot water wands are super easy to to turn on and off compared to turning knobs, and the advanced PID and dual boiler lets me easily change brew temp to find the best temp for the coffee plus all the other options. I can shut off the boiler with one press of the button if I am just making espresso. I don’t like that the whole warming tray top has to come off to fill with water unlike the Giotto that has a separate lid over the reservoir although that won’t be an issue once I get it plumbed in eventually.

Its frustrating how little innovation profitec has done here. Everything "new" the bianca did years ago. Flow control is basically the e61 flow upgrade that was in the market for years. New oled, well it looks better, but oleds have a problem with burnin and are not that long lasting as other screens. For a machine that is build to last, this is a downgrade. Fast heat up time? Yes its faster, but not fast. Look at heat up times of the Breville Dual Boiler. Yes the BDB is a lot lower quality, agreed, but if we would compare purely on features BDB has done a ton more innovation.
@mannyr879510 ай бұрын
The breville sucks! Tons of degradable plastic parts, this is a tank. Current oled tech has greatly reduced burn in and a machine will likely not be on for days on end. I am interested in the fact that you mentioned Lelit. When I upgrade I’m torn between Profitec 700, ecm synchronika, or blow the wad on a la marzocco although would look at the micra as the mini is 6 Gs Any thoughts in the Lelit Bianca, is it as Durable? Reliable?
@cod3nam310 ай бұрын
@@mannyr8795 I completely agree that the breville machines suck in terms of build quality and parts. This was not my point. Profitec is pretending that with this machine they are doing something innovative, which is just not true. They added some improvements, but these have been done by other manufacturers years ago. Lelit is great and so far their machines have a good quality. But they are now also owned by breville ( like baratza or like la marzocco is owned by DeLonghi) . What this means for the future is never clear. But so is with ecm/profitec. Companies that don't innovate and push themselves to make the best product fail. This is where my frustration comes from. I like profitec/ecm. But the competition is cheaper and has more features (lelit or even quickmill or ascaso). The only argument that profitec has is build quality and nicer look. How many people will be willing to pay more money for a nicer look if the coffee quality is the same or worse?
