*correction not to defend Anna (bc after her repeated behavior of self-centeredness and entitlement I can no longer support her), but rather for the sake of not spreading misinformation: as a former viewer of hers, she was actually readily transparent about being on weight loss medication. She made a video towards the beginning of her “health journey” about the importance of going to the doctor, and in that video she made a whole section on the fact that it’s ok to take weight loss meds and that she was taking it. She has also since made a fuss about taking steps to get healthier through exercise/fitness, which is maybe why you were under the impression that she was trying to pass off the weight loss as natural. But she’s been pretty open to her audience about using meds for weight loss too, and iirc she actually had a sponsored video by a weight loss drug at one point? Once you’ve been successful you know she’s lying because you’ve told those lies too. It’s partly why I find giving weightloss advice difficult, most people lie to themselves about their circumstances for so long that they fully believe it. She’s a victim of her own creation. A “pigeon” pose in NO WAY is something that insurance companies give 2 F’s about, she has zero idea of how this process works. This OT is attempting to create a letter of medical NECESSITY, Anna needs to put this effort towards getting WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY, as weight loss and compression is what she ACTUALLY needs. She doesn’t want to be healthy, just like ALR and Chantal, they want a magic pill, they don’t WANT to do the work. They don’t WANT to be healthy, and their actions tell us exactly this. Ps: how are all those bagels helping your diet and health, Anna?! I gave them up a LONG time ago after being sidelined by a knee surgery, knowing while they are “tasty” a food is NOT worth my life, my health, or my mobility. But she still doesn’t get it. All 3 or those “gorls” are too narcissistic to come to terms with their failures, and that THEY CREATED THE PROBLEM. Whatever underlying issues are not necessarily “their FAULT” however, being an adult means it’s YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!!! That’s why they’d rather remain helpless victims, with zero agency, and caught up in “haters” instead of seeking REAL therapy and taking self responsibility. Anna will NEVER have any success so long as she revels in her righteous indignation and victimhood. “It’s not because I’m not working hard enough or because I’m eating the WRONG things…” REALLY, ANNA? Apparently you aren’t SICK ENOUGH of what you’re “going through” she gets ZERO sympathy from me, I watch people every day that work so hard to recover from accidents, and the successful ones are that way because they put in the work, smash after day, despite how hard and “not fun” it is. She’ll NEVER get it. Too bad, as she has a platform and likely negatively impacts so many others, causing them to feel helpless when that doesn’t have to be the case.

Anyway, her son (a chiropractor) moved down from New York to be closer and practically had a heart attack when he saw how big she had gotten (she was very short so the 35 pounds looked huge on her). He took over her diet and told the staff 12:53 that she could only eat protein, veggies and water (no dessert, bread, soda etc). And he came everyday to give her a fresh protein shake. The nurses and aides had a fit and called it abuse but mind you his mom was so confused that she ate whatever was in front of her. we had to remove the flower from her table because she kept trying to eat it. Point being she had no food preferences and didn’t care. Three months later she was down 40 pounds without a lick of exercise and just got up and started walking again. As someone who has mobility issues showing that you can’t do yoga poses doesn’t really prove you have mobility issues, not being able to walk is a mobility issue, not being able to do yoga poses is a lack of fitness not a mobility issue. If you’re too fat to move normally your mobility issue can easily be solved by losing weight and a lot of people aren’t that lucky, I’ve lost more than 50 pounds despite mobility issues she just needs to stop eating. She’s crying like she’s being starved to lose weight, she isn’t, she’s just a big baby. “It doesn’t really hurt until about a mile in” yeah that’s called being obese.
@junrobin93355 ай бұрын
I mean fairly sure if you got a mobility issue some stuff of yoga isn't gonna be for everyone. I have a specific balancing issue and it impacts how I walk and how I handle weight on my back and if I can do the yoga poses on one leg or not. It's not uncommon for me to just fall and hurt myself. It has little to do with weight. Though there are other yoga posses that are fine to do for me. So it's not like I would fail at all of it.

@@junrobin9335 true, I hope I can eventually do most things other people can do with enough work but if my mobility issues were caused by weight gain I would just lose the weight instead of trying to get approved for surgeries. Then again I’m coming at it from the point of view of someone who’s had a paralyzed nerve from birth. So maybe I would just take for granted being able to walk properly only to gain weight and then complain I can’t anymore just like she did, since most people just don’t exercise even though they’re in a better position to do so just by not having paralyzed nerves. Seems crazy to me that she doesn’t just not eat as much and then increase the exercise as her mobility improves as a result of losing that weightl mostly because I feel like what she’s doing is actually more work than just to accept that it’s gonna be 80% diet and only 20% surgeries and exercise.

@@smoothie3993 Seems like you miss how food can be an addiction and a massive craving. Someone who is used to eating like that doesn't often realize what they put in their mouth and what effect it will have on the long term. What's more is surgery definitely does help in people that massive a size. Their stomach is so stretched and massive that if they lost the weight they'd have a problem with the organ itself cause it cant just bounce back being regular size. Or how the excess skin can get in the way and cause of that gets infected easily. Then there is nerve damage and joint damage from that kinda weight. A majority of them also struggle with mental health getting in the way. Having a too long list of problems myself I know how that can become extremely self sabotaging even if you start out fully hyped up to reach your goals. and then there is the impact that food has on your whole health in general. Stuff you don't need to be obese for to be affected by it. like if you suddenly go on a sugar free diet you'll actually get moodswings and become pissed off. Or how too much processed food will eventually actually mess up your brain chemistry where mood disorders and more emotional problems are kinda created. Food can do a lot of crazy things to the body, and even if we need it to fuel it, not all of the foods we got are helpful.

As much as I am a cynic, and can see how she may be exaggerating her symptoms and new inability especially for the purpose of insurance covering her procedure(s), I also lean towards believing people's report of pain/abilities (RN assessment training). She has probably been hiding her discomfort for a long time. 2) I also have suspicion that she was seeing weight loss success with Wigovy, however it won't target her Lipidema condition. In trying to attain a more proportionate body type, she has to have the lipidema surgery, and thus why she has decided to undergo this process. Enter hyping up inability and pain. She likely has always had them (how can you not, at that size?) But of course, to get it covered with minimal OOP costs-> formal assessments of how the condition is tremendously effecting certain ADLs/Quality of Life = coverage.

She may not keep count, but her body keeps count. She's tired of this process, but doesn't she realize her body is even more exhausted? Crying over a bagel is not being proactive in her journey, she needed to realize that she could use the bagel as motivation to try again tomorrow. That would've been a big step in reframing her mindset, but she doesn't, she gives up and cries.

You won't get doxxed or harassed from being in the background of someone's video or livestream. There's no way to track down your information just by seeing your face and knowing what gym you're. Just saying, it's an understandable concern but the people who get hunted and harassed are either connected to the influencer (for lack of a better term) or went against the influencer. Joe Schmoe in the background might get a comment or two said about them but the people who go so far as doxx/harass IRL are looking for "justice" or to fck with someone. Joe Schmoe in the background has done nothing to either deserve "justice" or prove it'd be funny to fck with them. An easy fix to this btw is to just ask the gym what their policies are on filming. If they allow filming, ask if you're able to report someone if they're catching you in the background...some gyms allow filming but only if you're making sure you aren't catching someone else. And tbqh, most people who film in gyms don't have haters who are going to doxx or harass them...most influencers don't have to deal with that tbh lmao. Or if they do get doxxed, it's a fan who realized they could figure out where they were/live but didn't realize how creepy/dangerous it'd come off to do that. Years ago Jesse Cox (benign video game youtuber with no severe controversies) talked about fans on his subreddit figuring out where his apartment was from a single shot of his window and what was outside and "guys haha um that's kinda creepy", but nothing ever came of it. I think those fans even apologized when they realized it was a bit fcked what they did. TL;DR you're not gonna get doxxed and harassed by being in the background of someone else's video, background people at worst get some mean comments about them or become a meme ("bean bag in a hurry" from Amberlynn Reid community type deal). But you may be able to report anyone filming in a gym, depends on their policies.

I find it hard to believe GandL is saying she only just learned that she will need multiple procedures over a period of time for lipedema. Even the most cursory research on the condition says that multiple procedures are almost always necessary. This is partly because the procedure used to treat lipedema is liposuction, and liposuction often takes multiple procedures even when done for cosmetic reasons. I find it curious that GandL has not actually named what kind of procedure she’s having. Perhaps she feels people will misunderstand and believe she’s opting to have a cosmetic procedure? Incidentally, folks should google images of women (because lipedema almost exclusively affects women) who have this condition. I say this because Anna has claimed several times that she is basically beyond the point where actual weight loss can still help her. It is true that areas affected by lipedema do not respond well to traditional weight loss methods. However, lipedema pretty much affects the legs only. Women with serious lipedema don’t look like Anna. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not questioning her diagnosis. I am questioning her claim that she cannot do much more regarding weight loss. This is because women with severe lipedema have an extremely obvious appearance characterized by a slim to average upper body, or an upper body that appears “normal”, but the legs and buttocks appear unusually heavy and swollen; it’s as if two women of completely different sizes and shapes have been morphed together just below the navel. The reason these women appear as such is because, as I said, the affected areas are very resistant to traditional weight loss. That said, the upper body is not. Thus, because doctors prescribe healthy eating, losing as much excess weight as possible in unaffected areas to avoid causing even more trauma to joints, physical therapy, and as much exercise as the patient can tolerate, the areas such a the trunk, arms, and upper body, look like those of a woman who is at a healthy weight, whilst the affected areas appear disproportionately heavy and swollen. GandL’s body does not have this appearance. Yes, her legs look as though they could be affected; however, her trunk and upper body still appear to be carrying quite a bit of excess weight. I’m not here to criticize Anna. However, as someone who has had over ten surgeries for an ongoing health problem, I absolutely understand these things take time. I also understand that patients generally know early on if their condition has the potential to drag on. Unfortunately, perhaps one of the most common side effects to ongoing health problems is depression. I’m no medical expert, but Anna appears to be struggling. My concern for Anna is that she is not being realistic with herself concerning what she should be doing to maintain her health and have the best outcome possible. It is true that most insurance won’t cover liposuction. However, if a provider deems it necessary and non cosmetic, that definitely changes things. Still, a patient is generally required to try every other therapy and procedure up to the liposuction before permission is granted. I haven’t heard Anna mention many other treatments. I also know that cosmetic liposuction is only done to remove the last bit of stubborn fat; this is generally no more than 15 to 20 pounds. Furthermore, because it can be a dangerous procedure for multiple reasons, doctors require cosmetic patients to already be at a healthy weight before having the procedure. This may be somewhat different for non cosmetic patients, but the dangers of anesthesia along with the dangers of the procedure itself will still have a much greater potential for seriously and negatively affecting obese patients.

It was amazing and my body responded well to it (It wasn't known at the time that the program can have heart implications) and I reached a healthy weight. Coincidentally, about a year after my weightloss, I was diagnosed with breast cancer - and I've had to endure surgery after surgery not only to remove my breasts, but to reconstruct. I've been subjected to about 10 surgeries so far. I think she's been told multiple surgeries may be in her future. I think being obese should be taken as seriously as a cancer diagnosis. By the grace of God their father paid for their studies. I saved up a little bit of our food money and qualified as a caregiver, I also have such compassion for hurt people. I don’t earn much but am applying for a government bursary for next year to study nursing. Please pray for us to get out of this completely. We are all working so hard for a better future. self delusion. What accounts for the size of her arms? Face and neck? Waist? It is heartbreaking that Anna cannot have enough honesty with herself to eat healthy. She will always protect her food addiction to continue it as a form of self soothing from childhood trauma.

She stuck her head in the sand for a few decades and was all about body positivity at any size while letting her body completely fall apart. Now she wants everything to be fixed in a few years. She wasted her younger years ignoring all these issues and now it’s caught up to her and she’s the victim. YES dear it’s going to take YEARS and many surgeries to fix you up. Strap in for the long haul and accept the consequences of your actions!!

OK I'm overweight and am an NP in internal medicine. I suffer from both lymphedema and Lipedema .The BEST possible thing for Lipedema is weight loss. She needs to get down to a reasonable BMI then see where she stands with the lipedema. The idea that surgery is the solution rather than weight loss at her BMI and that she is powerless to lose weight and the lipedema is stopping her is ridiculous. She clearly has some mental instability and playing this all out in public is not pretty. Weight loss has changed my life and improved both lymphedema and lipedema by 90%. I don't like that she is "educating" people with this information.

Maybe im just ignorant about lipodema, but where is it on her? Is it her legs? Cause when I look at her, I obviously see she's obese, but I don't see any areas that stand out as being obvious lipodema. Her legs are huge, but they seem pretty evenly proportioned to the rest of her body, and to each other. Any time I've seen lipodema, it's a really obvious area that basically deforms that part of the body. I'm not doubting she has it, but can someone help me by pointing out where it is?

Watch the original video. When she squeezes some fat between her hands ner her groin, it looks like marbles, they are the lipidema fat nodules. Also in her swimsuit etc. videos you can see that the fat in her thighs is starting to form folds, which is a sure sign of lipidema.

The food we eat is what matters most. You can't outrun your fork. Fruits, vegetables, whole foods. It is not easy, but it is simple. Yes, exercise is importance for sure, but you can't outrun your fork, and alcohol (which I've heard rumblings may be consumed more than admitted) should be close to zero.

She said she had just been diagnosed with lipedema and needed to change because she was in pain and was told if she didn't change she could become immobile. For 4 years she did nothing and now here we are again. To me she looks the same size she did then even after losing weight on the Wegovy.

@cherryredmayhem5 ай бұрын
Chiming in as someone with a chronic illness that ends up showing up as a more "dynamic disability". Sometimes with chronic illness you'll have periods of flare and remission, and sometimes the flare will be more or less wholly out of your control. Personal example: this year I was in a flare from mid May to the end of June. I didn't do much of anything different (and I work my ass off at managing my condition), but it still happened; I did my management stuff and it still took two months to clear. Sometimes it IS out of your control, because at the end of June I was basically OK again, and I didn't change anything what I had been doing. During that time I definitely had several breakdowns where I cried about how fucking much it sucks when your health shits the bed despite your best efforts; so seeing people jump on this bandwagon of talking shit on this person they don't know does put a bad taste in my mouth. I don't know if any of that applies to her because I only get updates on some of these FA's from these channels. I've experienced a similar thing to running a 5k and then a week later you can't move--I've gone to a dance class, then paid for it by spending the rest of the day in bed. Or gone to the gym one day and the next you're in the hospital. Part of why it's hard to talk about is because the judgement from people who have no experience with it but still feel entitled to comment is exhausting. So I do want to offer the perspective that for some people, disabling illnesses include the times where it doesn't make any fucking sense on the outside. And yes, it annoys us too.

So true. I have had Lyme Disease for 2yrs, one day I could be cleaning the house, cranking out work projects,etc. Then suddenly am in bed in the dark, totally quiet and tying to remember my email address..lol. I tell very few people because, well actually..most never ask how I am, and don't really care, but it allows them to complain. I usually say I'm fine to the casual "I really want to talk about me" types, and move along. One time I freaked out and said, oh really? you had a headache? Well 3 days ago I was in the ER on a heart monitor and getting a brain scan. Then walked away. Felt good. still feels good. Hey, if you ever want to whine and complain, I'll listen/read anything you have to say

You may find it compelling to do some additional research on Anna, since there’s pretty strong evidence that she has a habit of dishonesty and what we have seen is far from her doing everything she could to manage it. But as someone else with chronic pain struggles I can somewhat relate with the helplessness and frustration feeling. Plus pain just saps so much energy it’s unbelievable. Wishing you the best.

The kind of surgery she’s going to have can cause more problems because liposuction doesn’t work well, they have better less invasive techniques . I don’t think she will be happy and could cause severe complications.

All I see are people complaining about how hard it is to lose weight online. Anna's not exposing anything new and spectacular, she's not as special as she thinks and hopes she is. You can doctor shop for someone who finally agrees with you that you can't lose any more weight ever and the rest on you is all lymphedema, that doesn't mean you're actually a medical anomaly. And people think she only got the surgery and future surgeries because she was sponsored like with everything else she's done on her accounts. She just eats like crap and cries. Annoying.

Careful; lipoedema and lymphoedema are two distinct conditions. Lymphoedema is a disorder of the drainage of the lymph system and is generally associated with surgery, particularly mastectomy, but can be a result of severe infection or insitu cancer that has affected the drainage. It is almost always one-sided and can be helped by pressure bandages and garments. Obesity doesn't help it, obviously, but it's lymph fluid held in the tissues causing the problem. In Lipoedema the problem is adipose tissue = fat. It becomes compressed and firm. It affects both sides equally. It can be resolved by targeted liposuction but once it has developed, it's generally impossible to resolve it through weight loss and other treatments such as massage or massaging leg sleeves. It tends to run in families. It can be uncomfortable and even painful and it can, because of the compressed nature of the adipose tissue, cause lymphoedema as well. But lipoedema is caused by fat. I know the two are easily confused so I hope that helps. Lymphoedema = caused by lymph blockage. Lipoedema = caused by fat.

The arm position she’s exhibiting at 14:55 is an at home test to help diagnose carpel tunnel. Not sure why she would believe she had carpel tunnel. Unless she’s inferring that maybe weight lifting and workout machines put stress on her arms and wrists which somehow her weight loss medication relieved? Which would never be the case. Carpel tunnel is a nerve issue not an inflammation issue which is what she claimed the medication to help with.
