Just fyi, what you're referring to at 28:56 from the Justice League Animated Series wasn't Starro. That was a plant called the "Black Mercy". As far as I know, the Black Mercy gives the host the fantasy while feeding on their "bio-aura" - but not controlling them - whereas Starro takes control of the host and makes it part of it's hive-mind.

Mark 44:44. In her second movie, that's when we began seeing flowers, confetti, and such, in association with her. Beginning with her usage of a, bean bag gun, that used confetti too, with each shot. I think that for that movie, they used practical stage effects, such as confetti mortars. But for this movie, they switched to animation, as noted by the cute birds, that remind me of those seen in, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" 😎

I think the only time Starro had a significant animated role was in, of all things, _Batman: The Brave and the Bold._ Oh, and _Young Justice_ of course! 47:12 In a deleted scene, Abner shoots Thinker's ear when he tries to escape. (It's a great scene that I wish could have been kept in, but this was one of those situations in which another scene wasn't working out, but cutting it meant other scenes now lacked continuity and had to be lost as well.)

Mark 1:07:29. Hey now! I know people with rodents for pets, and I've petted them! I feed, Opossums, Raccoons, Skunks, Armadillos, and whatever other small mammals need to eat and drink, by setting out food and water for them. Birds, join in. They all take their turns. On snowy days, I've removed snow and ice from their fur, while they eat. Cats, used to be involved. I had to keep the adults from crushing the babies, when they would all try to put their heads into the feeder at the same time. The dear, being herbivores, I left out, until I saw their tracks in some snow. So I put out, corn, for them. But, they never got a chance to feed, because the cattle would show up and eat the corn! In their excitement, some became cannibals I guess, whenever they are whatever type of cart food was in the feeder. Usually, it is "Special Kitty Outdoor Formula Cat Food", but I've had to substitute with other options. 🥺

About whether Harley is a meta or not, I just take it as the more popular a character is the more powerful in universe they become. Explains how Spider-Man became so physically strong on top of having his overpowered premonition powers, and how Wolverine's healing abilities got stronger and faster acting as the years went on, to the point where he can go from a fleshless skeleton to a reasonably complete human in mere minutes.

Between this and Peacemaker, I'm confident that James Gunn is going to take the DCEU in the right direction, though I'm sad about Henry Cavill. I'm sure he's not too disappointed, though. Just last year in an interview he complained that he was working too much and didn't have time for World of Warcraft or Warhammer 40K. I'm sure he won't mind some time off.

My only concern is all of his superhero work has been highly comedic and team oriented which was great for SS and Guardians, so I'm unsure how he handled other things but we'll see. I will certainly miss Cavil though, I really hate WB how the handled him :/

Mark 8:35. Hmm. When I was growing up, "Rated R", meant at least one nude or semi-nude blonde in the movie, but now it seems to be more about profanity, violence, gore or whatever else constitutes an, "adult situation", and I'm still not used to that. Case in point, the reboot movie of, "Friday the 13th", was more about the violence and fright factor, than the more socially acceptable excuse to show, "T&A", that the original is. But what confuses the issue about, nude blondes, at least to me, is that the original, "Clash of the Titans", is only, "Rated PG", and so I guess context does matter. 🤔 As for this movie, I'm not sure if the male exposure exists, because the scene is too dark and fast, though others have laughed and commented on it. As for the one pair of breasts, they look to me like someone wearing a, "Breast Vest", as a costume. People, wonder about, Margot Robbie, snowing off anything, other than her legs, but I haven't seen anything! 😁
