angelo that's great mate... keep the paint a white color.. as dark color will heat up in the summer sun and melt and distort your pvc tubes. .

which is better? making the pipes airtight or putting those foam inside?

Seems the foam is heavy but air tight is hard too.. if I had my time again I would cap both ends air tight then cone bolt on front ... but as extra saftey break up old free foam boxes and stuff full inside as well...

The pipes don't have to be airtight and they will still float because of the foam
