I love how you addressed the problem with shows for pre-teens and teens romanticizeing underage drinking. I always hated it how characters in teenage shows were always doing rebellious stuff but never showed the actual consequnces that occur with doing them and normalize the idea when it is literally illegal and can lead to a teenager overdrinking, doing something stupid under the influence, or getting taken advantage of . I understand it's just trying to let teenagers live through these characters, and it's not like this doesn't happen in real life, but again, this is only making the issue of underage drinking worse in our society by making it seem like an experince that all teenagers go through.

belly is fr the problem and i really didnt like her this season. atr first i even thougth susanah was dead for like 6 months but it turned out to only be a month?? like pls can u relax like thier mom js died. belly was js really acting selfish this season

Thank you! Good review! Spoiler!! About the age and good example thing, what really annoyed me in s1 is when the girls play I have never on Nicole’s yacht. I hated that situation Belly was put into. She should in no way be ashamed or shamed by others for not being sexually active at newly 16. I know the scene is realistic but the message still points to Belly’s lack of experience being cringy when it’s not. And they never address it. So yeah, i think it’s good to portray real life but the show also has to adress the issues with it.

Cam Cameron is my favourite! He was so nice and such a good boyfriend and I like how he has an actual dream / goal for his life but I think he deserves better than Belly - someone who puts him first rather than a second choice.

I feel that belly wasn't even trying to understand the brothers but after susanah's death she started to blame susanah's death for everything that happened in their life like WTF??? there can be more things. I HATE the fact that she was acting like her losing susanah was equivalent to the boys losing susanah. Like girl STOPPPP they lost their mother its not the same. IDK if anyone thought about this but skye did not deserve the shitty behavior of conrad like I get it you are losing your vaction beach house but its her not her fault beacuse her mother cant afford it ( honestly I did not like belly at all but I liked her when she was trying to involve skye with the brothers). I liked taylor but at some points she was trying to justify that whatever belly was doing to handle her situation with the brothers but like we all know that it was belly who was the problem. Also lets be honest cam deserved better than belly. Belly made her life all about the boys with kinda ruined her life after the summer and then she came and blamed her mother for it ???? and like i luv jeremiah my dude got cheated on and still included her in everything and loved her to the end ;.......)

Then she finds out he cheated on her over spring break, yet she still accepts his proposal, which he clearly only does to sweep the whole situation under the rug and avoid accountability (reading that part, I was just like GIRL WHY). And to add to the drama, she does eventually end up with Conrad (she and Jeremiah mutually break up the engagement).
