Kevin, I am a 76-year-old woman who survived 5 days in the hospital with covid-19. But God was merciful. I want to personally thank you for sharing this video. Although I’ve been a fan of yours for many years, I did not know you sang. In 2017, I lost my only son to congestive heart failure. He was 53 years old and had played the guitar since he was 9. Music was his life. When I watched this video, it was unbelievable how much you sound exactly like him. He wrote his own music but sadly most of it died with him. A week before his demise, he heard one of his songs played on the radio. Someone had stolen it. It almost killed me when I found this out. He was an incredible undiscovered musician. But that is all water under the bride. Again, I want to thank you for posting this video and sharing your wonderful talent with us. It brought back some beautiful memories of his music. I just recently saw your other post of The Angles Came Down, and it touched my heart and soul so deeply that I cried all through it. My son was a veteran and although he did not die in battle, he died alone. They say that when they found him, he had the most peaceful look on his face. It was as if he had seen an Angel. In my heart, I know he did because he was a caring person with a very strong faith in the Lord. I now have a niece who is slowly dying of cancer. She is only 53. The same age as my son was when he passed. I truly believe that God allows these heartaches in our life to help us grow as a person. Money and fame can never replace the loss of a loved one. Thank you again for your reply. It made my day. You are such a wonderfully gifted and talented person, and the young man who writes your music is unbelievable. Please thank him for me for this song. I have admired Kevin Costner's grace and humiility for a long time. I have been a fan since hearing Lawrence Kasdam's account of telling him that they were cutting his part from the Big Chill. He thanked Kasdam for the experience. His generosity toward Michael Blake when producing Dances With Wolf's is another sign of his class. This movie is on my top 10 favorite movies. Folks scoffed at him for taking the producing and directing at his age, and experience. The Oscars he took home were proof of his talent. My heart goes out to Mr. Costner and his children as he goes through the break up of his marriage. Thank you Mr. Costner for sharing your gifts through the movies you have made, as well as the your music. God's blessings to his children and him as he goes through this painful process.

Nice to see you’re doing well. I had the privilege to see you in concert a few years ago in Marksville Louisiana. It was a birthday gift for my mom. She’s a huge fan. She has most of your movies and didn’t know you sang too. I was so happy to gift her that, to see you. You stopped and shook her hand on your way up to the stage. She was so happy. When the intro is was playing, the clips of your movies, she could name them all. Sadly, she doesn’t remember much of that night now. She has a brain tumor, and she’s not doing well. But, you made her so happy that night. I will always cherish those memories.
