Harriet had that shy sensuality, and that voice just soars like a bird. It's soft yet powerful.

I saw Harriet and David with their kids in London a year or so ago. They all seemed really nice. Wish I'd gone up and say hello and thanks. I saw them live in Kentish Town back in the day. I was amazed at how Harriet didn't shy away from the difficult notes - fantastic live band.

This is as true as as it gets people! No dancing, no extra bs to arouse our senses. Just a perfect song conveying a simple truth about a human feeling. As a bonus, we get to hear Harriet sing it!

I wish I had had the chance to see the Sundays live. This is such a classy, beautiful song. The effect is more pronounced on the studio recording, but one element I love about the song is the ending. You gave me so much / And now it's of the Earth / And it makes me cry -- then the strings do this tumbling, everything-is-crashing-down sort of arpeggiated thing, and it all ends with just a single, sad, subdued guitar chord. Perfect.

I've been looking for this for years as I missed out seeing it at the time. I knew they were on TFI at some point with cry so thanks for posting. One of my all time favourite bands and last year there were rumors that they *may* make some new music. That would be wonderful.

I never had the chance to see them live. During the Blind tour I got sick I gave the ticket to my sister, and on the Static & Silent tour, well, they just clash, didn't they? I was in England at the time of this video on TFI Friday, i remember seeing it, great memory! thanks for posting this! (shame you miss the introduction and outro by chris Evans & a few seconds at the beginning)

She is a beautiful woman who exudes a natural sexiness. No need for tight clothes that show off far too much skin. Of course, the music was great and her voice is angelic, so it doesn't require lewd sexuality to sell the song.

People say she isn't that great live, but to me is sounds like the instruments are too loud and it is making it hard to hear her. Most live clips show that to me. I think she sounds good live. I can tell you from experience it's hard to sing as good live, because it's tough to hear yourself sometimes, and nerves play a role. She was probably just hard on herself which is sad because her voice is out of this world.

Of the many she renders that she uses my storylines for I think this one she’s relying on for emotive value among the ranks of so many lost to music early : ie John Denver, John Lennon

Takes you back for sure and as I look at the lip synched IDOL computerized music or rap garbage of today I feel bad for the youth today. One of my friends kids heard some of our old music at a block party and was fasinated by the quality" She asked what show did they win?" LOL, I said they actually devised, wrote and played their own music. I really hope the future has a place for artists like the Sudays to gain international exposure. These TV idiots are cheap info mercial sales hacks so sad
