The big fish is actually from the newer Donkey Kong Country games as is the rocket they ride off on out of it there are several levels with it its basically the newer games version of the older trilogys minecart levels

I wouldn’t call it a “cool” backstory, but it IS a backstory… considering we’ve never really had anything of that sort in the games.
