Hey Jack, I just ordered one of these bad boys. I’m having the pedal kit installed for legality, since I’m in a city. What are your thoughts on the pedals? Lots of maintenance issues?
@connorwhite1024 жыл бұрын
Looking to getting some Ice Tech rotors for it they put up with a tremendous amount of heat cycling and they really hold up to a lot of abuse very well. And as for the break situation see if you can get a set of Hope tech V2 or v3. They have some of the best modulation on a bike brake you can get and combine that rotor and a set of them breaks together and you have a perfect break package

@immatt.86574 жыл бұрын
i think i like the idea of the sur-ron because if you do get into a crash theres a lot less to brake meaning alot less to replace meaning cheap the only part thats expensive is buying the bike
@infonator14 жыл бұрын
It may have a few mph's in it but if you swap out the rear or front sprocket of which I don't know if the offer them, and cause it pops a wheelie? yeah its got about 8 to 9 more on the sprocket and 2 to 3 stock mph. Somewhere between 10 to 12 mph more. About 60 maybe 62 mph. That's without the battery upgrade.
@JackCecil4 жыл бұрын
infonator1 the bike is drag limited when using the stock battery. At around 55mph.
@thomashughes_teh4 жыл бұрын
The aerodynamic stability and road grip of a lightweight will differ from a I.C.E. weight machine. Control in crosswind and in road traffic turbulence can influence line of travel. Beware of repellent ground effects (lift and loss of traction) generated by rider clothing choice, body shape, and posture at high speed. I have bicycled down mountains at over 50 mph and felt the front end get light and soft of grip from air pressure. Seen any good wing-suit videos lately?

I have been thinking about getting one, but I'm concerned about the sizing. I'm 6'2" and it looks to be around a "medium sized" mountain bike. How tall are you? Thoughts on sizing?
@JackCecil4 жыл бұрын
I am 6ft. My friend is 6’6 and he was able to ride it ok.
@sn0wchyld4 жыл бұрын
I had the same concern (im about 6'2 too) - bought it anyway. if you've come from riding pushbikes/DH mountain bikes it'll feel a bit bigger than them (med/large frames). if you've come from 250+cc MX/Enduro it'll feel small, like a 125 or 100cc. I put a riser bar on it and feels good now, stock bars gave me a sore neck after a half hour or so. Lack of weight makes it extremely agile.
