If you are still early in the game without at least the 12 implant exosuit, beware of the high core cost of the mg gorgon set. I somehow managed to get it very early from the security guards and then noticed it takes in total 19 core power more to equip than my Lynx. Not really feasible before core level 55 in my opinion.

I think the best build for a new player is this: Use the scarab set for the vital boost bonus to get lots of health so you don't die as fast. The scarab set offers decent defense but defense in this game is kind of a joke anyway. You just want that hp boost. Now equip some vital boost implants. The best one(s) you can at your level. Next, equip as many injectables as you can. You want around 9+ injectables of whatever you can get. Make sure they're all the same level so you don't have to swap injectables during combat, because swapping will get you killed. For weapons, use whatever you want. Staves, twin-rigged and single-handed weapons are all very easy to learn. This is a very basic build you can get going as soon as you hit central production b, and you can roll this build the entire game if you want. It's a forgiving build that gives you lots of health and lots of injectables so you can make mistakes. Your energy will be free to use for finishers and drone attacks. I also recommend the ranged attack drone for pulling enemies to you.

@grey cloud yup. The gap in enemy toughness is huge between levels and it's kinda hard to progress without levelling up the highest possible in that level.

@grey cloud you can progress without actually leveling up much, but it gets extremely difficult. The problem with the surge is that the trash mob is consistently difficult compared to DS trash. Each fight where you are simultaneously facing 2 or more regular enemies is like a mini boss fight.

I only use vital injection when I´m in serious trouble. My main method of healing is the energy-to-life and energy injetor. That with Proteus armor set for 25% extra healing.

with the staff, your best attack is dodge+attack, it will be a trust attack, and man, this is so op! it's precise and deals a lot of damage

ive been farming the angel guy at the beginning of the game with my mk1 gear. the staff makes this possible. those guys have endless stamina and fight like ballerina ninjas. was super frustrating till i leveled up my staff ability.

Where can I get the gorgon set? I killed the first two guards right after leaving the second medbay ( so those two are gone now ), two other guards down the big staircase by the tracks are never there for me.

@@emeresbestres1 If you didn't cut the armor from the 2 guys as the start and the other 2 up the stairs behind the maintenance bot, you're out of luck for a while. There will be plenty of Gorgon dudes that respawn later on. Also, I think they patched the Gorgon guys at the tracks. I've played through the game 4 times in the last month and never saw them there.

@@emeresbestres1 No, you need to cut the pieces for the armor, at the beginning of the 2nd area there are 2 so you can go for the arm on one and the leg on the other, for the second pair, the head and body, there is your full set to craft. So if you didn't cut all the pieces, you'll have to wait until later where there are tons of them around to complete the set.

I fucking hate and love this game at the same time. It's a good game, combat is amazing but I feel like no matter how much you level up and find the best implants and gear you're always 3 hits away from certain death regardless of what kind of enemy your facing.

I'm not sure if staff is good for beginners; I find heavy weapons are more of a beginner style since it allows you to land massive dmg in fewer hits and works better in a hit-and-run strategy. Staff is more advanced since it has lower impact and you'd usually trade dmg with your enemy--something beginners wouldn't want to experience. That was just my opinion. Good video, though.

I cycle through Staff and Heavy Duty depending on the armor. If I see a lot of Goliath-class pieces, I'll switch to Heavy Duty. Sentinel and Operator-class usually can be taken care of with Staff.

My beginner weapon was Twin-Rigged, stuck with it till the end and I wasn't giving enemies even a chance to hit me by the end - yes even the alien looking enemies - that's how strong these are. 68dmg in the end with my FireBugV2s. (per hit with one blade, sometimes they hit twice for attacks)

Heavy Duty weapons made this game easy mode. Hit space then immediately attack for one of the highest damaging quick attacks in the game. negates the need for faster weapons.

Dash - not slide! - attacks with any weapon are pretty OP, staffs get bonus thrust damage, but once you beat the Cerberus boss & get the MG Judge Mk. 2... ahhhh, it's good night for the mobs. That's one beautiful and potent heavy-duty weapon :) Just got to have the PAX bot blow up the two things in that arena!

Ogre gear with heavy duty is the best,why? Because this game bosses work that way,run around and look for 1 hit chance,and your running/charged weapon will do insane DMG,because ogre gear let you release a wave if your weapon hit the ground,this is the highest 1 hit I know in game

Staffs seem terrible to me. The low impact means you can't stagger enemies, so they'll just use quick attacks during your flashy stick twiddling The heavy duty hammer has been the best weapon for me by far

It's OBVIOUS why Mk I. Vital injector and Mk. III Vital injector doesn't stack... they are two completely seperate items with very different rig cost and amount healed. What did anyone expect? Have a Mk III, equip a Mk I, and suddenly have more Mk III healing activatables? XD But, they do both WORK... you just have to switch between them like any other injectable implant.

Tier 1 security officers being the hardest enemies in the game ? Stacking stamina (and regen) which is a complete non-issue ? Not using counterweight (even though you already have a capacitor equipped which you're not using for anything) ?

+Ares42 At that time in game security officers were the toughest. Its a simple mid game build mostly. Didnt know much at that time. Main point was to make something that would help people who are struggling. Stacking health and vital injections is the simplest of ways to do it. Dont worry, proper builds are coming soon.

You are wrong about vital injectors, when you use a v1 + v3 you get 3 charges of each separately you have to cycle them with cycle injectables hotkey.

Sometimes its annoying to cycle through it all to get to the one you need cause the one that is depleted can still be selected and you need to press the button one more time to switch it which can be problematic if youre in a middle of a fight and also using more implants

You can have multiple versions of each injectable... You just hit right on the d-pad to cycle through them. No idea what that would be on the keyboard due to my preference of using controllers in Souls-like games. Own it on PC, so I guess I could look at it later and edit my comment if need be.

ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i prefer chrysalis gear to Gorgon. Screw stamina when there are implants that make you use next to none. Chrysalis lets you super heal all the time. Stack with execution implants for near fullbar heals. i run with stam cost reduced, more stam, more hp, more core power, and 2 40% scrap gain xD with room to toss in whatever i need. As for weapons, the community agrees that Fractal Reaver is better then near 90% of the weapons we have, and yea i like it, but im more of a fan of the heavies. Kill things in a couple hits, and have them stunlocked. Not to mention the Energy they give.

i like it but would it not be better to take the pax weapon and just block/counter. Even if they are hard. if you do this combo you never get any hit. I can kill at least 20-30 of them with pax weapon with no dmg.

There is no "normal attack". R1 and R2 are both standard attacks that target different things and do different types of damage. The fastest staff combo is probably r1 r2 when aiming at the enemy's head, its a quick side attack followed by an instant smash doing large amounts of crushing damage. R2s are generally better for single enemies than r1s, unless you are going for leg hits. A better armor set for beginners would be upgraded Rhino with a damage boost injectable and a fast weapon.

I can wreck almost every boss in dark souls 3 first try on NG+7, I can wreck shop in nioh....but this game? Idk what's wrong with me. I can't get past the 3rd area. Is this game supposed to be stupidly hard, or am I really bad?

There are problems with combat. Ill try to explain in depth some of the mechanics that might help you out. As youve noticed, all enemy attacks are tracking you heavily. Only way to avoid is to dodge at proper time. Block, for some stupid reason, works half of the time. I had one explanation that you cant block enemy's vertical attacks which ive debunked. Truthfully, i have no idea what passes as blockable and what not. Its unique to every enemy. But if you time your block, next attack that you do immediately after the block will be a critical. Impact (staggering your enemy) works until youve finished your combo, then there is a brief period where you cant stagger your enemy. Dodge out of enemy's reach then you can do it again. Ignore heavy duty weapons until you memorize enemy moves and until you are confident in your skills. This build here i did mid game in my first playthrough so some info is vague or not that good cause i didnt know better. More specific builds are on the channel, you can search them out. It might help with explanations of some game mechanics. Good luck

Fahad Zubaid Resolve biolabs? yeah that area is pretty hard with those 3 legged machines. A quick tip is dodge their attacks and slide in for a slide attack on their tail. once the tails drop they are not much of a threat

It's actually doable, when they are about to do the jumping attack they will jump back, when you see this you should be ready to dodge sideways to minimize the chances of them hitting you. Then just do a sliding attack and you should have no problem

Why would anyone need it? It just displays health. The goal is to hit the enemy until they are dead. You don't need to see health for that. What you really need is more damage, defence or healing.

RPG you want to help beginner but your gears is not for beginner. there is no secret to this game when it come to obtaining schematics, they are only dropped after kills. no other ways and good gears are wear by hard mobs.

How is the gorgon armor for beginners? You can't get it until the second area and even then it's extremely hard. You have to be at least a competent player to get it.

Just bait the enemies, never fight two and always counter-attack, never initiate. (bait with drone) Once the 2nd guy comes to engage, you disengage by leaving. Rinse and repeat till you get him low enough for dismemberment. That's how you get the full set - though I personally prefer light-class sets.

On the latest patch, you actually cannot farm the full set till you return from Resolve BioLabs. I'd personally aim to switch from Lynx or Rhino to Liquidator, then go Gorgon if it suits. I'm on NG++ now, and mainly using the Chrysalis set alongside Agression Amplifiers, with the Judge Mk.2; well worth a try.

Seeing as the staff weapon is free dlc in the second area. The armor is all over that area too. Just takes a bit of tact to get it. Also that fire staff is the best hands down staff. I also beat the game with that armor. Edit: also he's young the standard staff for guards my bad. Though now the free fire and ice weapons dlc the fire one is best staff.
