Why. Why did you not show the dough "coming together"? How are we to know what the dough is suppose to look like when you've decided it has "come together". I can't understand why videos always manage to skip the most important part of the process. If THAT part is not right, the rest of it will fail.

Possibly because hers didn't really come together. The shots they did show had it looking very dry still, and while you can use plastic wrap to corral crumbs and get away with a slightly drier dough sometimes, hers looked a mess to me. I wonder if she, perhaps, is not a pro baker but the on-camera person, and they had a swap ready for her.
@juodagalvesniegena714 Жыл бұрын
cuz it's fake,they changed the dough at the end,look what she wrapped in the plastic wrap-all flour and the next second its an actual dough,didn't even knead it properly because theres not enough of water,she says 6tbs when irl it's at least double for the dough to even stick. Her dough also looks like theres other ingredients in it like egg.

Use butter from fridge, not freezer, and grate it dipping it in flour all the time. When the butter is from the fridge, the mix will not be too cold and for that reason the dough will be more likely to come together and you will have a better chance judging how much water it needs.

Pies are pretty much the same, and yet each one is different when using fruits. She didn't say how much Flour for two crusts. Usually 2 to 2.5 cups. And ice water is usually 6 to 10 tbls. 2.5 cups of flour is great if your making a pie heavy with fruit. If it's a sort of flat pie, 2 cups should be enough.

What a disingenuous demonstration. She fails to show you HOW she got the dough together and HOW to tell WHEN you’ve used enough water. Additionally the final presentation definitely shows a pie crust that’s been brushed with an egg wash and sprinkled with sugar- none of which was mentioned. Terrible.
