Great great watches. I like the coffee color one. Blue and black are the beautiful traditional for all watches. The movement, straps design, dials are out of this world. These brand have all you need, respect, accuracy, and can make a man look like a gentleman, a young boy like a elegant sport connosoir. The video is good too impressive Thanks.

The video unfortunately displayed the flaws of the finishing on the lettering, polishing of the hands as well as rough edges on the indices. Pricing wise it's over many swiss brands that have better finishing than this watch. With just the bracelet, it isn't enough to grab hold of the market unless the buyers are photography enthusiasts also. 😅

Really love that design! As someone already stated it reminds me of 70ies designs of IWC & Porsche Design mixed with current H. Moser design cues. Love it! The prices are steep but considering there is a movement inside from the Chronode mastermind I think it's fair and well positioned considering on what pricepoint Leica cameras are gonig for.

Thanks for the video! I like the launch edition but I wonder if the red stripe might become less attractive after a while. I like the blue edition but I wish it came in titanium, I like the coffee edition because I like tropical dials (when done well). As you suggest, nothing beats seeing them in person.

I am genuinely surprised at many of the comments here. This is an expensive watch yes. But there is a reason for that. The design, construction, movement and build quality are extremely high. This isn’t some microbrand that is kickstarting a £6k watch. They have a history of world leading mechanical goods manufacture. And their origins/founder learned his skills crafting timepieces. Leica as a brand provide quality assurance. And there is little like it on the market. The closest to it is a moser streamliner. Which is over triple the price. Thank you for taking the time to cover this great timepiece Marko. And filter out the rude comments from your mind there will always be some unfortunately ❤

I like the look on the back case better than the front dial, the art deco design on the front with horizontal lines is just lacking, this is why a guilloche pattern made with a rose engine is more collectible because it's more difficult and looks more stylish My suggestion is that they change the front dial, if you pause the video at 2:05 ,if they make that textured material from the body of that camera as their dial, and make the window date circular like the lens of a camera, then it's already a better product and it connects to their camera heritage, it will rival the Grand Seiko in textured dials But right now for that price and the looks, I'd rather buy a Grand Seiko and will have no regrets because it looks better, I think they got the back part of the watch done right, but the front dial is lacking

No, they're frauds. Leica is not a watch company. Full stop, end of discussion. For the silly price they're charging for these fraudulent pieces of crap, you could buy a real watch made by a real watch company. An Omega, a Carl F. Bucherer, or a Grand Seiko for example.

Leica is like Rolex of the camera world, the high price is for the brand name alone, not quality (not bad but not any better than cheaper camera brands like Sony/Canon/Nikon/Lumix). Now they wanna jump into the watch world to do the same thing ? not gonna work, one Rolex is more than enough =))

Oh my God, what nonsense! Their price was unreasonable from the start. Times have changed, and paying more than £10,000 for this is just ridiculous. There are plenty of companies on the market offering not just better deals, but significantly better in terms of price, quality, and brand strength. This situation is reminiscent of the agony of German car manufacturers, who have completely lost the market to Chinese producers, and in 5 to 10 years, the world will see a completely different picture in the auto industry. The same goes for watches, where the overhyped Swiss brands will face serious competition. Protect your wallets. Only an idiot or a mindless fan would buy such a thing. If you are one of them, go see a psychologist because it's time to start treatment.

The blue one would be my pick. I really like the look. But that price for a watch from a brand that is known for making camera's ?(I know Leica did made watches. But that was a long time ago.) It's like Rolex suddenly decided to make camera's. I would rather buy a watch from a company that has made it's name in making watches. Same for camera's. I would rather buy a camera from Leica than from Rolex.

these are glorified "fashion watches" - movement is taken from Chronode, the case is designed by a third party ... what is Leica here ? (beside the customisation of the rotor and red dots...) , and do not start me on the proprietary bracelet atachement system ... just marketing here (for rich Leicaphilles) but kudos for their new Q3 with the 43mm APO - that is a very capable camera !

Well made review however it is very biased and as many others already noted feels overly scripted. There’s also major element wrong/missing in the history of Leitz. The first camera was developed by Oscar Barnack more than 60 years (!!!!) after they started the company making telescopes and shortly after microscopes. Leitz mastered the industrial production of optical elements. So watches were never on their agenda but they are rather a passion of Leica’ Camera’s majority owner Dr. Andreas Kaufmann. Also the Leica Brand is not even owned by Leica Camera but Danaher Corporation who owns the highly successful Clinical Pathology and Microscopy Businesses Leica Biosystems and Leica Microsystems. Anyhow, nice watches that are utterly overpriced.

Accuracy of -4 to +6? Gee, that makes a similarly priced Rolex (like the Oyster Perpetual) an absolute bargain! That Rolex has an accuracy of -2 to +2, btw. The Leica has nowhere near the brand recognition or resale value of a Rolex. If the Leica is priced at about US$1,500 then I might consider it. But more than $6,500? I mean WTF. Can someone please enlighten me as to what's going on with that pricing?

It doesn’t justify the price even they are famous in cameras, it’s the watch world, not cameras. They should sold the price just like regular Gucci watch or any other brand that not professional watch makers, which the retail price is around 1000~2000 pounds. @@MrPician sorry but that still doesn’t make them better by definition! Ernst Leitz started out as a watchmaker. Leica shares a lot with watchmaking in that they are precision micro engineers. The movement in this is made by the very respected movement maker Chronode, not some startup, and the movements in both my Urban Jurgensens were made by them. And let’s remember that Leica themselves are not making the watch. Leica are German but the watch is Swiss made which means it’s being made for Leica rather than by Leica.
