Traintastic video of the swanage railway Simon. I'm glad that you and your Dad Micheal had a great day. Especially the cab visit in the class 33 diesel and getting to ride behind steam locomotive 31806. Comfe Castle was one of the castles built by William the Conquerer as the first English King. But the date of when it was built I don't know yet. It was funny homing pigeons were transported by train because if someone released the catch on the cage the birds would flap about all over the place before flying away. The catch or trap points witnessed at the end can be released by powerful springs or controlled by the signalman if nessecary, these prevent collisions with trains on the mainline. I found that out in one of the Thomas and Friends annual stories. How are things getting on by the way? What sort of train events are going on for Christmas in the UK? I hope you and the family have a wonderful Christmas. Take care and keep your steam up Kevig
