Drop a like if you can to help out in the algorithm I think it is more important to focus on the Developers & Publishers enabling and paying Sweet Baby Inc. than Sweet Baby Inc. themselves. Sweet Baby has no power without the developers giving it to them in the first place and even if we drive Sweet Baby out of the industry another company will simply take their place because they are a side effect, not the cause of this woke garbage in the western gaming industry. Most western game devs probably ideologically agree with Sweet Baby Inc. so the only way any of this changes is if we simply stop spending money on these woke western games completely. One consulting firm closing down is not going to remove this ideology from the entire industry.

For example, Alan Wake 2; I don't really believe for a second that Sam Lake and his team had the initiative to race-swap Saga Anderson to be black, but since their publisher was Epic Games, it makes sense if Epic Games imposed Remedy Entertainment to accept Sweet Baby Inc to "consult" the development of Alan Wake 2, which gave them the opportunity to "persuade" Remedy to race-swap Saga and adapt the game to be as Woke as possible; in this sense it is a miracle Alex Casey managed to continue to be modeled after Sam Lake (actually, Alan Wake 2 is far less Woke than I feared it to be). I think the worst-case scenario would be to internalize this operation of making games Woke (15:47), which I am sure some gaming companies already do. But this crucially depends on the Success the Woke games do. Which is why I think the best approach is to keep exposing ALL companies akin to Sweet Baby Inc, as long as they don't become "martyrs" as Sweet Baby Inc endangers becoming, and BOYCOTT Everything they touch so the gaming executives KNOW they lose A LOT of Money with Woke to the point of forsaking internalizing these consultants. If anything looks Woke, NEVER pay full-price for this product or just boycott it altogether.

Thats not how it works. There is certain portfolio management software out there, which algorithms favor Firms that have a high ESG score. That means if someone decides to buy stocks these ones are more likely to be suggested. It also means that when banks bundle stocks into bonds for average people to invest, these ESG stocks are more likely to become part of the fond. So ESG is a method to acquire more shareholders, in which the company has an interest, not necessarily the existing shareholders. In fact as a shareholder that wants to do a long-term investment the company going for ESG isn't particularly in your interest, as ESG is I would argue ultimately a bubble and long-term a stock value will converge towards their true (genuine) market performance, which will be lower. You could see ESG as steroids. You will perform better when you have them, but once you're off them, your performance is worse, than if you had normally trained. Also I would assume that the mere fact that you contracted SBI will boost your ESG and not only the release of a woke product, as that way you could get investment capital, during development, when you need it and not after.

SBI is just the scape goat punching bag of the real frustration that the industry is facing. While I am glad that people are finally seeing how these "companies" are working in the shadows, I hope that we get loot box level backlash too that way we can see a shift in games stories that are not swayed by politics and ESG scores and just make memorable experiences.

It's annoying to me that no one has given you your flowers dude. You're the one who turned me onto SBI, and I do think that if you weren't the initial pebble, you were certainly the first boulder at the very least. And yet not one of the KZbinrs who are more "aligned" with your content has given due credit. Shameful really. Based take, you're absolutely right about SBI not being the end boss. If anything, they're the level one boss that got revealed in the tutorial. We got a long way to go, and this shit is insidious af. That said, the growth we're seeing in the indie sphere is quite encouraging, and I think that at least for PC gaming, indie is the future at this point. I'm sure I'm not the only one, but I've lost all faith in major Devs by and large as of currently, with a few hopeful projects I'm going to keep an eye on, but I'm not holding my breath. Indie is the future of multimedia as a whole now I think, and I'm here for it. These companies keep destroying everything I love, so instead of holding on to it all with a hard and bitter fist, I'm going to just look for new things to love. We just have to make sure we gatekeep the new things against elements like SBI in future. Keep up the great work. I don't always fully agree with you, but you're takes generally are incredibly based and I love that you try to look at the big picture instead of getting bogged down in your personal bias and getting lost into the forests of minutia. Keep going in that direction. Hopefully more people will realise the value of your content.

The developer studios are DEFINITELY worth scrutinizing, but you also have to note the possible reasons why that arrangement was made. The studio's programmers and artists could be ideologically compromised, maybe there's blackmail, but the people who are moving the money and keep them employed are the real power -publishers and stockbrokers. Boycotts are probably the most reasonable tool available, but I wouldn't be surprised if it really made no difference as the tanking of the studios just allows assets and IPs to be grabbed at relatively rock bottom discounts which only further consolidates the market. The only true way forward is to fund and empower good studios who hopefully resist getting poached by the likes of ESG. I'm really put off by Remedy hiring Sweet Baby for Alan Wake 2. Sam Lake and Remedy definitely had their presence felt at the "award shows" . In the end, it's very refreshing to see such blatant signaling cause you can 'feel' like you're doing something, but at this point 80% of what reaches you through some coordinated shilling effort is probably subversion.

I mean the other thing is, it should be blatantly obvious which games to avoid these days; if you need an app to determine whether or not a game is going to be filled with woke propaganda, then you have not been paying attention for the last decade. These people - as humans - have all basically adopted a uniform such that you can immediately tell them apart from normal people just by their look; likewise, you should really be able to tell whether they are responsible for a game just by viewing interviews, trailers, and other promotional materials. It is not even remotely difficult to do this, especially at this point. Problem is, it’s like 95% of everything being made these days 😂😭
