These trees grow pretty quick. I do very hard prunes during the winter to manage the size. Thanks for watching!

It is much smaller than it was. Year two I cut the main trunk at @3 feet to encourage lateral growth. I stuck that piece in the soil and it is about 6 ft tall already.

So I was left with the impression that you both were unimpressed with the fruit. What did you actually think of it?

We were not blown away by that one. It had just a hint of cherry, plum and sweetness. It did not live up to our uninformed expectations. It could have used another week on the tree or time on the counter for sure. The other ones that we left until they were more ripe were much more flavorful.
