The Swifty kickstand problem is certainly a difficult one. I fooled around a bit with possible DIY kickstand solutions so I know all too well the difficulties. As you point out the tendency of the front wheel to swivel complicates matters RE kickstand design.One thought that has ocurred to me is to design a simple locking mechanism to secure the front wheel in a straight ahead position. On the scooter liability issue I am a licensed boat captain here in the USA and out Coast Guard has among its many nonsensical regulations one brilliant regulation that is similar to your "larger vehicle" law. To whit the Voast guard defines "safe speed" as that speed which allows avoidance of collision. In other words if you hit someone else you were, by definition, trveling at an "unsafe" speed. S that law works well I suspect your larger vehicle law would work well as well. And it,does seem a terrible shame that regulatory nonsense is standing in the way of far more eco friendly means of transport! Last, but not least, I just crossed the 500 mile mark on my lovely Swifty Zero and the scooter has performed flawlessly prividing endless hours of beneficial exercise and enjoyment. I consider my Sifty Zero one of the best purchases I've ever made! Thank you for a wonderful product.

I don’t think clean air zones make sense at this point because the climate is in too bad a state now. It makes far more sense to just get rid of private cars entirely unless people have a very good reason for having one. And we need to do it fast. And on top of that, I didn’t realise that private cars like big range rovers were exempt from this particular daily charge anyway, which makes even less sense. It goes hand in hand with the farcical situation with E-scooter regulations. If we get rid of almost all private cars, we can immediately use most roads as effectively bike and scooter lanes without spending any money. We won’t need to build bike infrastructure in most places either, and right now, who would want that, since councils here have continuously shown that they won’t build them to anything like Dutch standards. If they’re not built to a high standard, people won’t use them. And it would take so long to build a joined up Dutch style network when the climate can’t wait that long.
