As an amateur, only basic thing along with these tips that was a game changes was keeping my head and sternum in line with the ball on the back swing and rotating, rather than swaying. I used to have the thought that I need to sway back in order to shift weight forward on the downswing. Great video.

That is a great thought! Spot on!

Nice observation. Just my 2cents on the 'weightshift' misconception. I think of it as transferring energy through pressure. Weight shift usually means to most people that swaying motion that you describe. Weight has to go from the back foot/leg to the front foot/leg and that causes excess movement linearly. Just another way to look, or feel that energy transfer from back heel to front heel. Cheers.

This and the chicken wing video are my favorites that you guys have published. Please keep videos in this style coming! The biggest question I have now is what should I be doing with my wrists at the top of the swing?

Glad your enjoying the content! When it comes to your wrist at the top of your swing that would depend on what you're struggling with when it comes to directional control.

Don’t worry about tilt on backswing just get it right on the Downswing! Listen to Chuck Cook

Hey James, it is brad here with GOLFTEC. If I had to prioritize tilt is would for sure be in the downswing, that being said if someone is not tilting on the way back and just standing up, they will have a very hard time swinging on a proper path.

FYI @1:47 Nick meant to say that DJ has LESS tilt with longer clubs and MORE with shorter clubs. (Bc he's bent over more at address with the shorter clubs.)

Maybe it's just me .. but Nick's mic is either set too low or he just doesn't speak loud enough most of the time. I have mentioned this on other videos and you guys actually replied saying you would look into it and even thanked me. Nothing seems different here, though. Listen to when he goes into explaining something for more than a couple of words, either his voice volume just goes down alot or the mic just decides to stop picking up what he is saying. When Brad speaks , you can hear everything he says without issue. I always raise the volume when Nick goes into his explanations or teachings. I'm sure most of these videos are super helpful to alot of golfers out there, just speak louder Nick =) Thanks!

It's hard for me to get that bent in the follow through because of past pelvic and back injury. Advice?
@golfweed9947
@golfweed9947 3 жыл бұрын
It's not actually necessary, at least not for the longest hitter on tour. Just watched video of Bryson DeChambeau. Interestingly there was no visible backward bending of his spine in the follow through! He finishes off almost leaning forward! kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3-qgZWthK-FrZY

Just watched video of Bobby Jones, a pretty good player and quite a long hitter even with hickory shafts, and he has NO backward arching of his back in the follow through, no bending backwards. Check it out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGitgJ6rjM13hbs

Better to keep spine straight by turn the torso in order to get the 90 degree shoulder turn as Rick McCord explained, best. Tilting the shoulders, left down right up, bending the spine and sliding hip is a false turn and back issues will follow. Bryson doesnt stack and tilt. He turns his lower body, from ground up, keeps right leg bent and drops his levers into the DS. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5nRhHykjrdkosU

I can understand not keeping your head down in the follow through but why do you need to bend your spine back in the follow through when the ball has already gone? Surely that is a reverse ‘k’ position and not good for the back.
@GOLFTECLessonsFittings
@GOLFTECLessonsFittings 2 жыл бұрын
The bending back continues from the action you make through impact. Think of it as if your jumping as high as you can. It's pretty hard to stop the movement of your arms and extending of your hips and back once your feet leave the ground.

Hey Pedro, this is Brad with GOLFTEC. So are you a past student? If so I'm sorry you felt like you got worse by your third lesson. If you still have credits available I can help get you back in with a coach that can help. I've had close to 14 years teaching with GOLFTEC and have worked with over a 1000 students. Can't say I've ever had a single one quit by the third lesson. I honestly can only remember 2 who parted ways with me about 6-7 lessons in and it was more along the lines of not wanting to put the practice in. If you'd like you can send me a video of your swing and I'd be happy to take a look at it.

Constant sarcasm and the mumbling is very distracting and obscures what appears to be valuable information. Also why don't they say they are Stack and Tilt teachers? Isn't this a form of plagiarism? All of their points come straight from the Stack and Tilt playbook. Give credit where it's due!
