Soothe 2 is worth more than 1000 other plugins. Thanks for the video.

It's important to note that this assumes your vocal is already balanced and doesn't have any resonances poking out. For example, every time I work with my voice, I have a few very harsh resonances that happen around 900 hz, 2.2khz, and 2.8khz. If I boosted 2.5k right off the bat, people would cringe.

This swiss knife costs at least €558 (359+199, fabfilter essentials bundle and soothe 2). The real deal is to make a whole swiss knife with cheap to free plugins, especially an alternative to Soothe 2.

I want to pay for mastering class the membership for at least more than a year but am using Cubase 13 and you never use Cubase in your videos although the DAW u use is similar to Cubase I hope it wouldn’t confuse me.

Rap tracks sound like you know what. Hard to listen to. Just like they use to say back in the day: Disco Sucks! And when compared to Rap Disco is high art.

Great advice, but the use of Trap/Rap is counter-productive as there is no musicality in the performance and they will have limited results. I like every genre where there is singing involved, but I guess you have to cater for the dumbed-down society there is today.

Sad you see rap this way. I advise you check out some of the newer rap artists to come out in the past years. As someone who produces and records rap artists this vocal chain is incredibly useful for the artists I work with. And I think you’re idea of rap is a bit outdated peace and blessings

Treating a rap vocal has never changed the way we mix a vocal … the only change will be the compression compared to an other music genre
