I remember that after a year or so of having my Switch, I got Joy-Con Drift, and I had no idea that it was a thing that happened to other people. I was so worried about this, and I ended up calling Nintendo about it, but their advice wasn't able to fix it. So I went to GameStop and they suggested I get a new Switch, and told me to wipe my Switch's memory. I did this, got a new Switch, and then realized that all my games' data was deleted. So I went back, a different person helped get my data back, but my Splatoon 2 data was gone forever. Adding insult to injury, I learned later from Nintendo that if I used a different way to transfer my data, I could've gotten my Splatoon 2 data back with my other data, and Joy-Con Drift was the problem, which happened to a lot of people. :(

Normally I'd agree, but isn't the Switch Lite the second "fixed" version? Nintendo needs to get its act together for this issue pronto, which is weird because they used to be known for freakishly durable hardware in the old days. The Game Boy had a reputation for being nearly indestructible (one survived a bomb blast during the first Gulf War), yet it seems like Joy-Cons start drifting if you so much as glare at them.
