Sao level virtual reality without implants/connectors in your brain that connect to the equipment, it'll probably take 1000 years. With implants/connectors, it'll probably take 100 years or so. Not even close to being full dive.

@VRelity bro, like in 1920, people were predicting we'd have flying cars by 2000. Sure, I would. It'd be pretty cool. But we must be realistic. Think about it. A full dive gear that requires no connectors to your brain but is able to disconnect sensors to your brain so that you don't move while you're playing in the game. That's not even close to being realistic. You're talking about something that is able to transfer consciousness from your body into a device and then transfer it back. Plus, when you turn off the gear, you are completely normal and have no long-lasting effects? Wonder if someone pulls off the gear without you logging off? Wouldn't it be like unplugging your game system without properly shutting it down? What would that do to your brain? Without fixing these potential problems, governments around the world would ban it immediately.

I think we can get to a point like in the movie ''Ready Player One'' in the next 10-20 years, but to get to SAO level is something completly different, we're talking about a technology that is capable of literally control your consciousness giving visual environments to users as well as being able to control all their senses, all that being connected through a neural interface as we've seen in the anime. I think to reach this level it'll take us at least to 50-60 years as it's a completely different technology from these headsets, one uses actual reality and the other uses your brain to portray reality, they're totally unrelated.

I've been reading the comments for 10 minutes straight... Are you all so sick of real life you'd actually consider suicide?! It's honestly depressing reading so many comments and replies saying: "Even if I die irl I'd full dive." I even saw one reply saying "If there is no risk it's not worth it. I want the risk." I can't believe what I'm seeing! Are you guys ok? Do you need a dozen hugs, emotional support, and actually good therapy?! It sounds like it to me! Aside from that, the whole full dive thing will never go how everyone here thinks it will. SAO, if it were to exist, would not be the fantasy you would like it to be. As cool as it would be, that's just not how things work. Why do you think companies make games? Money. With the way things are going now, if they sold a full dive game or console on the premise of full emersion, how would they continue to make money from players who already own the game or console? That's right, data. Think about it, the full dive would have to read nearly all of your brain's inputs to put them into the game(s) you are playing as well as send inputs for your brain to register. That's data from literally reading your mind! Any ads from related or connected platforms would be tailored to your deepest thoughts some of which you may not know consciously. That data could also be stolen in the case of a malware attack and oh look there goes your bank account information you memorized and into the hands of criminals. However, this isn't just a one way problem. The full dive can input what ever the simulation programmers see fit. This could mean brainwashing the mind to buy more of a company's product when you leave full dive. Malware attackers could overwhelm users's brains and cause them all to become braindead causing the death of thousands. Terrorist attacks may become common place in full dive. That doesn't even account for malfunctions that could kill the brains of users. Now if a corrupt government were to have access to this technology, oh boy. My point is this is a really bad idea! Are you all really ok with how dangerous this would be even in a working and secure scenario?! I for one am not. You lot are crazy if you still want full dive in the world we live in. The Full Dive you want is and always will be nothing but an unachievable fantasy. That's that. I hope you actually took my words to heart and really think about Full Dive from an industry standpoint. This is not a fulldive headset. A lot more is needed than just mind reading tech, and that's assuming that tech is actually good enough to fully control a higher speed game than pong lol Frankly I'm going to laugh if this turns out to have a ton of flaws for the price but who knows, maybe it'll be something crazy. That being said I can't wait till we actually have real fulldive vr tech. The possibilities would be endless.

being honest, full dive with risks included we're looking at 15-25 years of concentrated* development, 17-27 for less risk x'D so, saying fulldive of anything is..no. You can play their "make-believe" version of SAO, and thats about it. more realistically, given the state of affairs with people, 50+ years would be more under consideration when people are being incredibly stupid.

Someone needs to contact the companies and tell them to stop making the NervGear from SAO and start making the VR Capsules from Manhwa's because fitting everything into such a small headset is basically impossible to do if our goal is truly to reach the level of SAO and it would be so much easier to make the Capsules which would speed up the process of achieving our fantasy goal.

i mean technicly if they are gunna pick it out of the wrist they would only be getting the signals that are normaly sent to the wrist.... in wich case it would add latency... because you might as well just use your hand.
