I forgot to mention the swords of the starvanger but I put a picture in there. I think Miyazaki was just as likely inspired by these for the Sword graves as he could've been by the berserk ones. I only say this because I remember him saying he took inspiration from Norse mythology atleast partly, along with others ones like Celtic etc.

Gotta say I think Malenia becomes the godess of rot (avatar for rot) with every bloom. But with the third one she would become a TRUE goddess of rot. The place in Caelid is called Aeonia so the incantation Scarlet Aeonia is named after a place? And the Aeonian butterflies that exist BEFORE Malenia blooms in our boss fight kinda mean that either: A: Malenia becomes a rot goddess/avatar with every bloom not just the third and releases these butterflies from the wings she gains. Or B: scarlet rot always gives you wings and these butterflies are from another goddess of rot. Maybe the one the blind swordsman defeated. C: Aeonia is rot itself. The Arcane entitiy at the heart of the order of rot. It's just not clear where the word Aeonia comes from... I'm just saying for the butterflies to exist there has to have been a goddess of rot before malenia's bloom on our fight. So either she becomes a god with each bloom or the 3rd bloom is what brings rot itself in to complete full time power and theres no resisting it at that point. Btw Malenia herself is a blind swords..person

I like to imagine that survivors of the battles do it, they stunned by the blood and death sheathe they're swords into the earth to commemorate they're fallen.
@TheHonoredMadman2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that's generally my thinking behind it too, except for the cuckoo knight grave in front of the castle they tried to sack and the one where godwyn fought to the last, I imagine he constructed that one if "to the last" meant he was the only survivor aside from fortissax

I think the sizes are pretty accurate for Radahn and Morgott in the opening cutscenes. Morgott isn't a little dude And personally, I'm thinking less and less that Radahn was a champion of the Erdtree and more one of Godfrey. A king through strength might have been his agenda, that that was best for the erdtree, but my point is that a lot of signs seem to point to Radahn knowing about the outer gods. Sellia was a town he loved and lived in, which had close ties to the Nox. And in his castle, he seems to be hosting a crucible knight and misbegotten crusader, who are both protecting each other as two reviled beings of the pre-erdtree era. Personally, also, I think the carians descended from Giants because of their close ties to the Giants and also their collective freakish size (ever looked at Rykards throne? He was as big as Radahn)
@TheHonoredMadman2 жыл бұрын
To add to the connection with giants, it's confirmed the carians astrologer ancestors were the neighbors of the giant. Part of me thinks they co mingled with the nox because liurnia has nox traditions like the celestial dew
@jackreacher74952 жыл бұрын
@@TheHonoredMadman all things can be conjoined, my man. I actually just realized that the giant ants must have been brought into being as normal ants mutated by the scarlet rot, just like the dogs and crows. They only seem to exist in Ainsel, their venom makes the formic rocks, which are used in acidic concoctions,and the only other area where they appear is Deeproot Depths and the Haligtree, but that's where icame to this conclusion since their existence seems to be as rampant and sudden as the wildlife of current Caelid

I’m pretty sure the Astel’s aren’t from the Greater Will. A theory that I quite enjoy is that they were purposely malformed by the Nox of the Nameless Eternal City, and when Astel stole their sky, it’s referring to their false sky (it’s also why the nameless eternal city is much more messed up). The reasons for needing the Astel were for their eventual war with the Golden Order. While the nameless city was making Astel’s the other Eternal City’s were making the fingerslayer blade and toying around with silver tears and dragon kin soldiers.
@TheHonoredMadman2 жыл бұрын
If that were the case I don't know why radahn would've held the stars back. I think it's entirely possible the "stolen sky" could be talking about how they once lived topside but were pushed underground like all of the other pre erdtree cultures, the false sky is what they made to feel more at home, since they worship the moons. Just my takeaway, I'm not sold that they were of the greater will, but I'm also not sold they were created by the nox like the mimic tears, dragonkin, fingerslayer blade etc. If anything I think them constructing the fingerslayer blade is what got them decimated
@michealburns80172 жыл бұрын
Except for the fact that we know for sure (watch some nokron lore videos) from items and descriptions that the greater will absolutely sent astel to destroy the city as punishment for disloyalty. And once you have that fact then your theory falls apart. 🤷

I count elden beast as its own being bc its not Radagon even if their fights are conjoined
@TheHonoredMadman2 жыл бұрын
Imo both of those fights are garbage. But godfrey second phase is better than radagons only phase. Maybe it's because my first playthrough I died a bunch to elden beasts running away and doing wide range long range gold magic that i couldnt dodge, that killing radagon repeatedly became a frustrating afterthought of an obstacle to me throwing myself at the wall of elden beast. My only complaint about godfrey is in his first phase with the stomp spamming

@@TheHonoredMadman being a caster my first time with radagon his spell block really kept me on my toes. He ended up being more difficult for me than elden beasts BS, but he's such an enjoyable fight that it didn't bother me at all. For me Godfrey just felt like 5 moves overused for his first phase and a complete waste of potential. I mean he has a lion on his back and he doesn't do anything with it. Hoarah Loux is better but I didnt fight him long enough to enjoy his fight
