Thanks for being patient. In mid-January I started work on a video I've wanted to make for ages. It's required more filming and editing than any other video I've made, and has sucked up every bit of my time. I'm hoping to have it done soon and will make a community post with more info during the week, when it's a bit further along. I always get super stressed about having massive gaps in the upload schedule, but occasionally I have to spend way too long making a video that I really care about. I recently went back to DS3 after 6 years. Watching your videos gave me the urge to jump back in. I had completed my own ER RL1 run and my intension is to do a SL1 for DS3. But man I didnt realise stamina management was the real Boss of DS3. Need to adjust my gameplay if I hope to do a challenge run 😅

sitting at home at this chilly sunday, being happy that i Dont have to go to work tommorow because i have a few days vacation and what comes up ... a new video from the legend himself, fishy ... awesome ;) when i started playing these games back in 2011 one of many things i loved was that i could swing these incredibly huge swords more like big pieces of iron than swords, as if I were guts personally ... and god old fume knight's piece of iron is just pure fun to play 😊

@ I started on Elden ring, got like 2k hours this last year. Decided to branch out, lies of p, then lords of the fallen, and got ds3 on sale and I’m in love all over again. It was so much fun, but I’m sure I missed a lot, and fishy is putting out guides now so ima follow this one and try his way for my next run 😂 his guides are always amazing

@ThingfishyGaming yeah, done that. As usual it's a skill issue. I can get through the first two phases of Friede relatively unscathed and then it's one shot hell in the third. I could go and do more of the base game but where's the fun in that!

Did this run myself on the run that started me on the hunt for the Platinum. Was a lot of fun to use. Then ended up finishing up my first playthrough of DS2 with it as well. Overall a very fun and highly recommended weapon in both games. I really wish Raime’s armor had also made it into DS3 though. That set is so sick. Had to compromise and where the Ringed Knight stuff.

I don’t know if you know this, but alternatively, you can lure Tsorig to the lava pool with alluring skulls, and like the f*cking idiot that he is, he will run after them, and get scorched. Integrity be damned ! Tsorig be dead. 😂 Great guide by the way, entertaining and informative as always. Do you plan on doing a Faith build for DS3 someday ? I imagine it’s bound to happen sooner or later, but I’m suggesting it just in case you forgot Faith is broken in this game. 😉

Looping friede with FUGS/Astora's gs is always a good time. If you've got the stam for it you can keep her on the ground with charged heavies easy

Nice! Love the fume UGS but prefer it better in DS2 where I seem to recall the 1 handed R2 was a thrust 🤔. Do love colossal weapons in From games but invariably stat spread for some ranged back up (hate playing pure casters; probs because it’s the opposite end of the weapon spectrum that’s my preference). Shame the Fume got nerfed so much in DS3: bizarre as guessing it was pvp purposes where any pvp’r knows that colossal weapons are not anyone’s best choice? Kudos for Midir with the Fume; I respec’d for the pestilent mist option on my first play through to progress in the dlc & did a melee Midir on ng+ with dragonslayer axe. This upload was well worth the time you spent on it & hopefully new to From games check out DS3 as it’s as gorgeous as it tough.

Tbh I expected more shadow of the erdtree builds after dlc release, but given I have recently bought ds3+dlcs on sale... Guess that's a good alternative. Still lowkey hoping for carian sorcery sword build tbh. It's such a stylish weapon with all them spell combos and attacks (And possible parries/crit synergy between stance breaking spells and parries).

I'm not done with SotE. There are still some builds I want to do in it at some point. For reasons I don't completely understand (and may still speak about on the channel at some point), it got stale for me a lot faster than the base game did. I like to pop an ember and summon fake-tarkus near the bonfire and take him all the way to invader fake-tarkus and let them fight until invader is dead lol

That sounds equally fun! It's such a weird thing. I probably did that run a dozen times before ER and YT days and never once thought of doing anything other than parrying the black knight and killing the invader. But the second I saw it in this run, I thought "Bet they'll fight each other". I'll try the Tarkus strat next time I'm down there. Thanks for watching!

To get a quick slab, isnt it easier to run into Ashes of Ariandel and get the one at the base of the cliffside? No bosses needed, plus you dont have to give up the coiled sword fragment.

I just change fume for twin blades. I start new play after 2 years. I like fast weapon but fume was very good for stronger enemy and I am not runner. I kill all when play. Have both saves maybe try fume again when beat that game first. Both character are about 120lvl but I have low skill, I don't like parry, can't remember attacks of bosses just do my thing. I love that game.

You can Alluring Skull the NPC in to the lava and let him kill himself.

When I cheese the fume knight I just throw alluring skull to the lava lake he goes chasing them and dies in lava.
