This is a RE-EDIT of an older video from this channel. It is *Part 1 of 2.*. for the ""The Taino People".. and about their their first meetings with Columbus, in 1492. (*Note: All of the songs on this video were previously accepted on other videos in this channel.)
There is also a Part 2 video in here (of course) and another associated video.. for "The Arawak People". Both of these Peoples were the first to encounter the "colonists".

The Taíno People are an Indigenous People of the Caribbean. At the time of European contact in the late fifteenth century, they were the principal inhabitants of most of Cuba, Hispaniola (the Dominican Republic and Haiti), Jamaica, Puerto Rico, The Bahamas and the northern Lesser Antilles. The Taíno People, along with the Arawak People“were the ‘first’ “New World” Peoples to be encountered by Christopher Columbus”, during his 1492 voyage. The genocide that followed, is too big to be described in this description. Watch both of these videos.
