Another Masterpiece which is not included in the wonders of the world is The Kailasa Temple. The largest monolithic structure in the world carved from top to bottom.

until 1857 taj mahal used to be studded with diamonds and precious stones before those were looted in British rule. top spire of taj mahal used to be all gold, it got looted and replaced with a brass one. indian style fruit and flower gardens were cut and british lawns were grown.

Yes we’re aware, it’s a ginormous country and we only had a month VISA, so whilst some of the stops look typical to a local, they’ve been amazing for us to experience for the first time!! We also visited Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ahmedabad and Goa…we got a good mix in there we think! 😉

ancient India used to have lot of excellent architectures better than this one. during Islamic rule in India especially in Mughal period about 47000 temples and several other structures were destroyed. others were demolished by the European rulers. that's why India hardly has any ancient structures left in North India. however there are quite a lot of them in South India especially states of Karnataka and Tamilnadu.

Mumtaz was the 4th wife of Shah Jahan. Apart from Mumtaz, Shah Jahan also had at least 6 more wives and along with it, there were 8000 concubines in his harem. Before Mumtaz married to Shahjahan, Mumtaz was the wife of Shahjahan's Subedar Afghan Khan. To marry Mumtaz, Shah Jahan had killed Mumtaz's first husband. Mumtaz also had a son from Afghan Khan. Mumtaz died after the birth of her 14th child. After Mumtaz's death, Shah Jahan married Mumtaz's sister.

Nice little vlog guys 😊 It's a shame you didn't have a guide though as you missed some pretty interesting facts! I was there just a few days ago... Apparently the tombs inside are just replicas, the actual graves lie under the mausoleum not accessible by tourists. Also when you come out of the mausoleum and look across the river, you can see some ruins of what was supposed to be another identical Taj Mahal, only in black, but the king never got to finish it because his brother put him in prison 😉

Taj Mahal has not done anything special in being symmetrical. India is the birthplace of geometry and trigonometry. if you see any Temple thousands of years old everything is absolutely symmetrical. speaking about temples you should visit some India is land of some of the greatest temples.

during Mughal rule common Indians was burdened with excessive tax which caused people dying in masses especially including the era of Shah Jahan. Mughal rulers which includes Shah Jahan used to sell Indians to the foreign markets as slaves. 1 of Mumtaj and Shah Jahan's 14 children was Aurangzeb who later became the Mughal ruler. Army of Aurangzeb has killed at least 6 to 10 million Indians, forcefully converted even more into their religion and destroyed thousands of temples. what happened to women during Aurangzeb period is unspeakable. dream of Aurangzeb was rule all of Indian subcontinent, end Indian culture all together and make India nation of the religion he follows. he failed because of the greatest Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his son Sambhaji Maharaj who saved India.

flu oh no. that is the after effects of a Delhi. one of many reasons why that place should be a no go zone for tourists in India. sad that you missed Agra Fort which is better than Taj Mahal so called wonder of the world and Jaipur is prettier than Agra and Delhi combined.

We’re sad we didn’t get to see much of Jaipur. We did go out for a few hours before our train out and the centre seemed so vibrant and energetic. Would love to experience it properly again!
