Hell yes, I'm excited about the Spinoff. My marine doesn't like reading fiction but he like me loves Bosch. Because Connelly is a true crime reporter and you know his fiction is true to life. W. Somerset Maugham was an MD and a WW I spy so his experiences in his writings are also true to life. Connelly's experience in Florida going after a killer at age 16 set him up for life. In the same town where John D. MacDonald's knight errant Travis McGee is based for 21 books, all read by me and who Lee Child, Brit author, also read before he wrote the 20 plus Jack Reacher books I've also read.

Pretty easy. I've read all the books, seen some movies about Bosch related characters, Lincoln Lawyer, Bloodwork. When that new detective gets harassed and put on graveyard Harry has a cop to work with and she uses his expertise to be really good. He does what he wants anyway, solve cold cases.

Well, I binge watched the entire 7 seasons in a week and a weekend. I loved it and loved all the characters. Mr Welliver is bloody great in the roll of Bosch. Mimi Roger's is terrific as Honey Chandler, and on and on. Harry is pretty gritty and authentically an anti hero, my kind of character....even if he doesn't ultimately love jazz in real life.

Saw a guard die at camp david in war games they do to keep sharp. Told his parents it was suicide. Wanted my boy to lie in court. Wouldn't, afraid they'd kill him. Called me said not to believe it if they said my son committed suicide. He thinks it was a hit cuz' guard betrayed, so preferable to court matshall. Opinion from his brother working in DC at the time, who just died from alcoholism.

I loved the series and started watching Bosch Legacy, but I tend to agree with the Police Chief, because Bosch giving up his badge means he isn't as effective on his personal mission. Anyway, One thing I love about the series is that Bosch isn't perfect.

Brilliant show. Welliver IS this character as much as Connery IS Bond and Winkler IS The Fonz. (Don't know how good that will be for his career down the line, but...) The ONLY problem with the show is Maddie becoming a cop. Totally unrealistic. It's approaching latter-day CSI territory. I don't want them to drag out the Legacy continuation longer than absolutely necessary, but one or two more seasons would be fine with me.

Fun fact, in the first season when Bosch goes to the tar pits and they talk about the human remains found in the pits, I looked it up and there was human remains. They are of a woman from about 10,000 years ago. The museum that has her is withholding the skeleton from the local indigenous nation and refusing to let anyone study it. It’s not even mentioned on on display. Typical.

I didn't hate the ending, but I did hate the way that Bosch threw the Chief under the bus. That was disloyal and completely unnecessary. It turned me off honestly. But I ❤️ 'd the show & all of the characters.
