An extremely underrated film, and what a great adaptation. One where you get a perspective of each character, and I literally can't describe the film without spoiling it but it's a must-watch. I agree that the constantly moving filming in this remake is jarring and excessive. Nonetheless, and despite the fact that I generally like the original movies better than the remakes, I think the critics' harsh reviews of this remake were unfair. I think Denzel is super, and Travolta's funny and baaad, and their back and forth is psychologically interesting and adds a lot to the movie.

All I could think of when watching this scene was STOP MOVING THE CAMERA! This is why I was taught in the first year of my film school to shoot on a tripod that didn't move, because constantly moving shots look ridiculous if they keep doing it over and over again. It just becomes jarring and gimmick-y.
@burmiester15 жыл бұрын
That was Tony Scott's style. All of his films featured it. By constantly moving the camera it generates tension and keeps the pace moving.
@reggierodriguez65465 жыл бұрын
JD McJayderson the camera was moving too much. You’re right. It was also like that in the movie called Money Train with Wesley Snipes
