Fun-Fact: The person who voiced Queen Vanessa also voiced Mustache Girl. I sure wish that she would have voiced Neyla from Sly 2 Band of Thieves. Also, another Fun-Fact: Yesterday was Sly 2's 17th anniversary.

The reason why snatcher wanted the time pieces, he realized them breaking could potentially bring him back to the past and fix up the relationship issue they had, but alas Hat Kid needed them to get back home

Give a time piece to mustache girl and a time piece to snatcher and boom the perfect timeline, the native people of the island are alive and there's no mafia in the island, and subcon forest is a beautiful kingdom, I'm sure hat kid could give 2 time pieces to someone after the dlcs time pieces

The original lore was that Vanessa had a cursed book. Every princess ended up with the same madness that Vanessa had. This book contained a creature from the end of time. The end of time is described as a place with no stars and no lights where this creature was doomed to stay for all of eternity. Only their thoughts and dreams existed at the end of time, eventually the dreams turned into nightmares and somehow those nightmares reverted back into space and time, folded into the same book that cursed Vanessa's family. The creature wanted to get out of the end of time and to do that they had to get into Subcon, by inhabiting a new body, the prince's body. To achieve their goal they made Vanessa mad and manipulated her into conducting a ritual to get them into the prince's body. The ritual ended up failing as the creature wasn't able to gain full control over the prince's body, getting them stuck into the Horizon, getting known as the Moonjumper. Vanessa on the other hand turned into the cold monster that we all know her for in the game. Source: Wolfcl0ck's "Betafied - A Hat in Time Episode 6" at around 8 50 in that video.

I think moon jumper had something to do with this as well. Not to mention took Queen Vanessa's soul to keep it for himself. And Queen Vanessa's body now serves as a puppet controlled by Moon Jumper. And now for a Hat in Time 2, Defeat Moon Jumper, set Queen Vanessa's soul free, and fix everything.

@@paulpavlus6664 in all honesty. .. I think she's too far gone to say anything. I don't think there's much if Queen Vanessa left any more. Much like the prince the emotions she was experiencing were that strong that they changed her physically, which is enough to suggest they'd have a permanent effect on her mental state too. Pretty sure she's just a creature of hatred by this point 😭
