One of my all time favorites. I've probably listened to this 1000s of times.

One of the most beautiful and meaningful song I've ever listen to. This guy is a genius.

beautiful and meaningful. isnt this song about killing people??..

This guys stuff is so much better when its raw like this. First heard him on tiny desk. Checked out his records but they didnt have that beautiful grit that he has when he's live.
@daraotl51875 жыл бұрын
Yeah I kinda agree. His tiny desk performance was so rustic and gruff and great. The first song I ever heard was record version of Love is All and the was also brilliant. But for sure, added value when the he's live
@mikerphone.5 жыл бұрын
@@daraotl5187 lol Right! It has that unfiltered quality that gets lost in the the studio production process. I just think that it adds so much more depth to his voice and the picking patterns he likes to do. Thats what makes his tiny desk concert so good at least. That, and the looks of utter suprise the horn player keeps throwin up. Like a baby that made a sound it didnt know it could do lol. I think I've heard that version of Love is All and I'd agree, its excellent. Seems to have more of this sorta vibe goin for it too.

The one time I saw him live, I was amazed at how much better his voice comes across than it does on the albums. I thought of his voice largely as an acquired taste, but live or unpolished outside the studio it's so much better.

Really? His first two albums and his original EP are super raw to me.
