Haha Yes, i know the feeling all to well.. Intense facial expressions looking right at you asking for your opinion or even asking what's the matter - When all you are doing is being peaceful and silent ! - I don't have anything to say or to re act too sorry guys.. They then proceed to laugh at me in there group lol It's cool though.. as there insults just glide right past me and i remain ... - just shanti shanti. An incredible thing happened yesterday Jason - I was in traffic and i observed everyone around me practically all in there own heads and alot of anger and tension was there.. A woman was trying to cross the road and get into a taxi so i saw my moment to give way and flash my lights so she could cross.. The woman gracefully walks by me and gets in the cab in front of my car. All the slow moving traffic had stopped at this point.. I felt a sudden feeling of being assisted or being in the flow of dao.. I then cruise round the corner.. A huge truck blocking the road.. and the number plate ( licesne plate ) of the truck reads DAO ! nothing else - but just DAO no numbers in or infront of the word DAO ! it was just hilarious and so comforting at the same time brother. Another banger video, I'm not even done watching it yet but you hit the nail on the head about humility. That's exactly what it feels like when I get mad and don't want to act peacefully. I work in food service so believe me when I say I get plenty of experience with this feeling. 😂 It feels like a defense mechanism when I get upset because in some way it hurts to be mad and feel abused. And in a sense it actually hurts more to turn the other cheek or to put a smile on your face in a situation like that because it does feel like a humiliating loss to allow someone to be rude without jumping to your own defense. It's not the same as being a pushover. That's avoiding conflict or confrontation from a place of fear. You're talking about avoiding conflict and confrontation from a place of maturity. Two different feelings, but I find that it still feels bad to think that people might confuse my actions for the former. More substance that I need to work on to grow. I didn't consider Taoism much before I saw your videos and I don't think most people really break it down the way that you guys do. I've been watching these videos every morning for a few days now and this content has been really valuable. Thank you. 😁

Water translation is dope. 😁lowest place but nourishes all. Streams in mountains rush down to low places, where sticks and leaves make dam, just remove them and water rushes down to lowest place again. 🤣 Balance. Hell , small fights and conflicts suck and take best energy. To be useless is hella chill way of being, being powerful is a butt pain , so much trouble and heavy crap. Better Grow like a small flower in mountain, hidden from everyone and happy asf, with sun, gentle , reflecting and kind stream, dirt , worms as happy , honest silent friends. I'm really enjoying these meditations (I originally wrote medications) as I lie in bed recovering from surgery. I think (for what it's worth) that to say the DDJ and Lao Tzu advises us not to get involved, discuss or have a view on, for example, politics is a slightly narrow reading of the text and its context. The context of writing the DDJ was in fact a political response to the times, Confucius and feudalism. Lao Tzu was outlining a particular way of acting in the face of that particular politics of the time. In so doing he was in fact undertaking a very political act. But in a particular way. However of course the DDJ operates on a number of levels, the internal arts, our relationship with nature in all its aspects and how politics and government itself should be carried out. These are all in the end ultimately political acts. Yes, the daily chitter chatter of the media and politicians today is a distraction from the real issues that face us. But the text and its teachings on one level have to be considered a guide to how to live and act politically. It's not simply telling us to withdraw and ignore the real and important questions facing civilisation.
