Sorry got a little confused between the use of wooden swords vs metal swords. Wood swords raise/draw down the energy and reach out to connect with the higher powers? Metal swords are to deploy/use the energy?

Metal sword connects to the power that is beyond local, like calling the headquarter for help. Wooden sword calls the local powers to execute the job.
