I have just had my first confirmed male , a T albopilosus ometepe island form he is called Cupcake ,yes we are keeping his name 😁 a little gutted because I can't find a female for him as his species is rare here in the uk but great video kat was howling at you being Richard and at the bloopers , also want to say sorry for your loss any loss of a t mm or not is always sad especially when you have kept them so long. I FINALLY got these for my A. chalcodes and only one was alive when they arrived. It wasn't looking too good, but I hadn't been able to get Tarantula Chow for several months, and she was starting to get...grumpy. So I checked it out. It seemed sluggish, but likely from the poor packaging rather than illness, so I offered it to Fluffernutter. She was excited, then timid, then accepting. That was at the beginning of September. She hasn't eaten since. She's redecorated her enclosure three times. She sleeps in her water dish after draining it and replacing it with dry dirt, then spends the rest of the day on the wet spot. And she watches me, now. She follows me around the room in her enclosure, moving to keep me in her line of site. Which is ridiculous because tarantulas don't see well...right? Anyway, the hornworm has either taken over my tarantula and usurped her consciousness or given her strange new powers.
