This taxi business is actually more lucrative for the drivers than can owners. Let's say you buy a 75m shillings drone and put it on Kampala-Mbale-Kampala route. The vehicle carries 14 passengers twice a day thats 28 people paying 25k from the taxi park. Total income is 700k. Fuel will be 65 liters total, thats about 350k max. Then other daily fees for park and loading, lets estimate 100k. It means the car stays with about 250k, then the owner is given just 100k while the driver takes 150k? Thats crazy. Yes, I based my numbers on the car being to drive to and fro, which can be done and is being done by many of these drivers, but they'll declare that they drove just one route instead of two.
