I like how they didn't just pull the whole "Jin's Devil is not only bad, but has some good parts" out of their asses for this game, but they hinted at it in Jin's Tekken 4 ending when he saw Jun and lost one (1) white feather after leaving Kazuya and Heihachi behind
@pen49979 ай бұрын
The Devil here was simply power dictated by Jin himself. By itself it was neither good or bad but it was definitely capable of destruction and it was tied to Jin's survival instinct basically. Before 8 Jin has consistently hated the Devil Gene and the Mishima Bloodline, he hated himself to the point he believed he should never exist which is the entire reason 6 happened. But in the end, the Devil never actually denied him, it was Jin who always did, and has consistently appeared to protect him from certain death. So essentially Jin just needed some self-love and accept the fact that the Devil and Mishima is still just him, he's allowed to live. Pretty nice narrative actually.

Watched this live last night, and while not Shakespeare, the story mode does have some pretty awesome moments that I'm glad I avoided spoilers for. I loved the implementation of music from the older games, like in the Colosseum part, the battle in Jin's mind, and final Kazuya fight. It does bug me that the Devil Gene lore seems to make less sense the more they expand on it.

NGL as I was playing through the story blind last night after work all I could think is. "This story is so unserious and cheesy at times that it makes it impossible not to just chill and go with the flow" and that was the absolute highlight of my week. Made it worth every time just for the relaxation of playing through the story and just being like "yep, this is how we livin'" LMFAO😂😂😂

I found it so funny how Lili kept seeming front and centre in so many scenes. I'm a Lili main so I'm not complaining, but I was so confused why she got so much screen time. She was literally an unbotherd queen while the entire world was in danger of being destroyed by Kazuya 😂😂 Even when people were injured/dying she couldn't care less.

I'd rate this story mode 9.5/10. It lost 0.5 because of all the cringe "power of friendship" moments when Jin needed strength 😂😂 other than that, it was sicccck. So good. Everything about it was crazy.

I pray the devs make an option in the future where you can change it to Lenne Hardts voice, the name of the lady you guys are hearing. She's a voice actor, and I think she still announces at wrestling and mma events in Japan. Or maybe you can unlock it I don't know I just want the option lol

based on Reina's age range, Heihachi must have had her at some point during the 20 year time skip between Tekken 2 and Tekken 3. So unless he had a kind with another member of the Hachioji but if he knew they had the Devil powers why would he unless he didnt know that Reina's mom was a member of the Hachihoji. 2 Other possiblities are, 1 - they retconning some stuff from Tekken 7 and going to make Heihachi a carrier but his was dormant and since Heihachi was never really in a life or death situation (I know hard to believe) but thats how strong Heiahchi was as a human and with Mishima blood. Or thats how they will bring Heihachi back as it took what Kazuya did in T7 for Heihachi's devil to be alive. 2 - Reina is adopted maybe, after Kasumi studd Heihachi moved to destroy the rest of the Hachioji clan and Reina was left and for some reason he took her in. Or Reina is a test tube kind usuing Heihachi's DNA as Heihachi did a lot of research on how to get the Devil Gene power and maybe thats how Renia has the devil gene but could not awaken it until what happned in T8

Reina being a devil doesn't make any sense. If the only way to awaken the devil's power is by almost dying, then why couldn't heihachi activate his? And didn't the devil's bloodline only started when kazumi and heihachi gave birth to kazuya? Reina is from a different mother so her getting the devil's power would only make sense if heihachi had the devil gene. And if so those that mean that heihachi is still alive somewhere and will revive like what happened to jinpachi?
