The only time I have ever seen my father cry in the 53 years until he died and after helping us survive the brutality and racism of the Jim Crow Mississippi, was him letting tears silently drop from his eyes while listening to The Temptations sing silent night. I remember Eddie Kendricks was sending you the lead. To this day this song melts my heart and makes me think of my Daddy my Father my Hero. He never told us what about that song made him cry. But whatever it was, it touch deep into his soul❤
