Lyrics:
There's no time for us,
There's no place for us,
What is this thing that builds our dreams, yet slips away from us.
Who wants to live forever,
Who wants to live forever
There's no chance for us,
It's all decided for us,
This world has only one sweet moment set aside for us.
Who wants to live forever,
Who dares to love forever,
When love must die.
But touch my tears with your lips,
Touch my world with your fingertips,
And we can have forever,
And we can love forever,
Forever is our today,
Who wants to live forever,
Who wants to live forever,
Forever is our today,
Who waits forever anyway?

I've always loved Queen, I'm a huge fan. But these comments are ridiculous. I feel like The Tenors have done a fantastic job, I don't think anybody is trying to "outdo" anything, The Tenors have their version and Queen has theirs. The cover, in my opinion, honored it in a beautiful way. It's music, enjoy it!

Yeah, it's almost impossible to perfectly reproduce someone else's music, and boring too, since we can just as well listen to an original recording in that case. To me it's much more interesting to see how many different variations you can get on a good song when it's handled by different artists. How ominous can it become, how traditional can it become, how techno can it become - not that all variations will necessarily be good but it's still interesting to see how much the same piece can be varied.

I dare say that in almost every case, when an performer chooses to cover a song, it is not a bid to “outdo” another artist but to offer homage. I dislike the idea of approaching covers cynically or defensively, as so many listeners seem to do.

Considering the song is from A Kind of Magic, an album basically written for Highlander, this is a song about Macleod and the loneliness he feels. Being immortal wasn't a gift for those in the story. It was a curse. Leaving behind so many people they loved through the centuries. Seeing so much strife and hardship. Nothing for them was anything but fleeting. The song is perfect for Highlander.

He was an amazing showman who loved music and performing and embraced the essence of the music and put his heart and soul in each and every note to show the rest of the world the beauty that he saw in it. I love music and many different genres- this particular version of this beautiful song shows that so many things in life can be in harmony if we just allow it to happen and enjoy the show.
