I used to cook over an open fire pit at deer camp, and I made a stainless grill just like yours. I made it adjustable to keep it off of the direct fire. One time I put riblets in aluminum foil with BBQ sauce, and foil taters with onions and butter, then left them there on the grill just above the fire while we went deer hunting . When me and Dad came back to camp he said "That's not going to be worth a crap" I said this ain't my first rodeo Dad. I made him a plate and he ate like it was his last meal and said "Son I will never doubt your cooking skills again" He passed away in 2017 on St. Patricks day and I miss him so much!

Hey, FANTASTIC timing on the rain-storm. I was almost glad for you that you didn't catch fish you'd have to clean!! In all the years I've been watching these, I don't think you've ever had such a glassy pond as it was that 2nd morning. Absolutely stunning!! The only thing (besides the fish) missing was the Lab. I keep thinking maybe this'll be the year you introduce us to Max Jr. But then, I still haven't gotten a replacement for my Aussie, Mick, yet either. Attachments sure run deep, especially those of the canine variety.

Joe, awesome video. I wish I had a place like this. When I saw you lifting that tree out of the way I admit I was yelling at my screen saying, “Joe, lift with your legs, please!” I know you’re a healthy, strong dude but so was I until one day I lifted my 70 pound generator and something gave way in my back. Joe I know a little extra work to get your tent camp going has never been a problem. But I would think not having to clear a pathway to the outhouse as soon as you get there is nice in the spring, summer and fall camps. I know all your bird friends appreciate some bread for the next few days. I am convinced that most people who are outdoorsman and love to fish it is not always about procuring fish to eat but the sport of fishing seems to smooth out the ragged soul, Maybe someone should write a book about "Fishing for the Soul"!

In the US, at least 48 rivers in 16 states flow north, including nine in Alaska and eight in Washington. According to some sources, South America has the highest number of northward-flowing rivers. One of them is in my back yard in AZ. The Santa Cruz River rises east of here, flows south into Mexico, and does a u-turn and flows north back into AZ.
