Joe, I've been wanting to tell you this for a while so here goes. Your videos are so amazing to watch, and so darn relaxing. What I'm trying to say here is you inspired me to buy my own piece of property 200 ft from the lake and across the street is 55,000 acres to hunt on. We finally just closed on the land last week and we now own it! I'm not getting any younger and I'm going to spend my first deer season on it. God willing next season. I want to thank you for these inspiring video you have made for all of us, you and your awesome videos have changed my family's history to one that will now include our own piece of heaven! A LONG COMMENT..I have been waiting for the 2018 Deer Season Movie.. Joe I really enjoy your videos. They family time the conversation. Well I'm 56 year old woman who really misses her DADDY. After 12 years it hurts so bad... I had a wonderful FATHER I was the apple of his eye.. He was a hunter & I use to go with him when I was around 7 is when it began.. I married at 18.. After 38 years of marriage my husband never has hunted. But thru your videos I get to go fishing & hunting.. Thank the family for sharing this. I know you children will enjoy these videos for their lifetime.. GOD BLESS

The only bad thing about going out to your blinds and traipsing through the area the day before the hunt starts puts a lot of your scent in the area. Might affect how the deer move through there but that’s just a thought. Might be better to get the final preps on the stands a few weeks prior to the season. Don’t know if that would change anything. But anyhow. Always look forward to the deer season. Good luck and stay safe out there. See ya.

It is awesome in Mo. it’s where I live I have woods 3 sides of my home lots of fruit trees at the edge of my yard they are so thick you could get the limit but I don’t let the boys hunt there

I grew up hunting in the Northeast, had a hunting camp I went to for over 30 years, until some kids burnt it down, very sad as we didn't rebuild, but your videos bring back a ton of memories.I still hunt, but not from a camp currently. [e-mail] Mary Carson, Joe take all of the canned food with when he goes back. The Forest Service closes the gate after Deer Season, so that they do have cross country ski and snowmobile trails too. Joe parks his truck, and in the winter he snow shoes across the frozen lake. We are so lucky that he lets us follow him! Semper Fidelis

So I have watched the duck and now the deer videos, you people need to find a new place to hunt, we have hunted public land north country. all my life 36 years have filled out 90% of the time by monday 5 to 8 guys. 80% of the deer we kill are between 10 and 2 when your cooking lunch, pack a lunch and you will see and kill more deer.

Great video. I like your tent / cabin. I just want to tell you one thing about your cooking. When you cover your cooked food with foil, it should be Loosely covered. You went through all the trouble to make it crispy, but when you seal the foil around it you make it steam inside and you lose the crispness. Just saying. ☺

Ha Sara I go to my sisters house on Christmas Eve with my Black Lab. and I bring my bedding just like you balled up in my arms. My dog and I love my sleeping bag equally. Also Joe, you are a sneaker guy, have you ever seem sneakerboots, they are great lightweight,waterproof, comfortable affordable, and keep your feet warm, they are made by L.L. Bean, out of Portland Maine. They last for ever, the first pair I had for thirty years, no kidding !!

We just got home last night from my Brothers Camp, didn’t get a deer but a few rabbits and some grouse. A good time with my Dad and my Brother. Season ends this Saturday here, then on too more rabbit and coyote hunting.
