The Tent Preacher Tele - 1952 Telecaster Unearthed in Texas!

A couple of weeks ago Trevor and Ken went to Texas to pick up an incredible 1952 Fender Telecaster from the family of the original owner. After a crazy amount of flight delays and issues, they manage to get the guitar back to Seattle safely, with a few new friends, experiences, a surprise birthday and extra pounds to sweeten the deal! For now, its the story, with a demo on the way soon!

I love watching these stories and the history of not only the instrument but the family history. I'm not sure I would have the strength to let something like that go to a new home but when you are ready...you are ready I guess. I love that he wanted it to go to someone who will play it. It's sad that people buy these as investments and they never get played. If they get played fine but it's a waste when these old guitars go to someone who sucks or doesn't play it. They sound too damn good to sit around collecting dust. This one sounded like an old tele I heard on old records. Love that sound.
