Hey Joe a little trick for the squirrel carve out some of the spray foam then shove in steel wool nice and tight then more spray foam. Their teeth hate touching the steel wool it shocks them a and they will not chew through it. Works every time brother!!!

I always love your winter trips to the tent. I remember watching the build, I remember wondering how will a tent, even a structurally fortified one would hold up to the elements, well., here we are years and one bear attack on the front door later and it's better than ever. It's the best built for purpose tent on you tube.

It's such a strange thing for us to see you travelling across a frozen lake and cutting a hole in the ice when you ice fish. With a heater on the frozen ice, too! We are in the desert and it seems like the craziest thing, but we know that many people do it safely. It's a fun look into the world of snow and ice. Stay safe!

I could tell by the smile on your face, that you enjoyed them too! Thank you for taking us with you, & letting us check on the Folks Cabin. It's so beautiful there. Hope you made it back safely. Do you have a good Squirrel & Dumplin recipe? Uncle Ray sure loved them (Aunt Mable was a good country cook). Have a good week Joe & Melissa.

I hate driving on ice! Used to drive semi's and really hated then! Anyway, good video Joe! Always look fwd and enjoy the tent vids. My dad took our family to Big Chetec lake in Wisconsin for 19 consecutive yrs. was like a second home. So many great memories. Drank my first beer there, haven't had one that tasted as good as that one since. LoL The lake the tent is on appears to be fairly large? I guess I always thought it was smaller lake. Those squirrels are mad now, you killed my cuz, I'm gonna tear your tent to piece's! 🤣🤣 Oh, I really like the tent, but your dad's place, OMG! All that custom wood work he's done! Nice!!! Thanks Joe!

I love to watch you feed the birds. They are so trusting to eat out of your hand. It speaks a lot about you. Animals can read people very well. I am glad that you had a safe trip. Personally, I was a little nervous about the walk across the lake. Even tough we have had a lot of snow and cold., it can be pretty spongy underneath. Thanks for all the time you spend on the videos. I really enjoy watching them. I'm alone so it helps feel like company. Be safe.

I started watching your videos about 2 years ago. I am located in Central North Carolina. We don't have the snow like you have, but sometimes we have a nor'easter, and we have a snow storm the biggest storm I've been through was two feet of snow. And 3 days later, the temperatures are in the 50s from one country boy to another, my hat's off to you.

The lake looks so beautiful.. No noisy snow machines to disturb the peace. That's a long walk in the deep snow! The birds love their little treats from you. Maybe next time you could bring just a handful of regular bird seed or chopped raw walnuts. The fat in the nuts helps their little bodies to stay warm in winter. You could also lure Mr. Squirrel out for a conversation.
