At the time the first 7-11 stores opened, it was very unusual for any stores to be open from so early in the a.m. to so late in the p.m. In those days stores opened at 9 or 10 and closed by 5 or 6. So, that's how it got its name. Now they, and pretty much every other convenience store in the U.S., are open 24 hours. But that's how it got it's name - - by it's uniquely convenient hours.

Wow, Hannah. That Kelly Green is definitely your color! Hello, Gorgeous! 💚 Also, I've been meaning to tell you to keep a bottle (or packets) of rubbing alcohol next to you during reactions (especially w/Ash). Inhaling it should stop your gagging. 4:48 mark - Joyce & Hopper are not at the factory where the exploding rats, flayed people, & the slime monster are located. They are investigating all the properties that were sold to "the developers" of Starcourt Mall aka Russian KGB with the help from the sleazy city Mayor. 15:20 mark - The chain of conveinence stores here in America & Canada is called "7-Eleven," not just Eleven. It is similar to "Spar" stores in the UK.

One can see Joyce has an accurate throwing arm. When I first saw the containers with the green liquid, my first thought was hazardous waste or toxic fuel. So, yes little annoying girl please drink. In the US seat belts weren't required in a car until sometime in the 1960s. Mandatory use for front or all seats varied starting in 1985 depending on the state. Some states didn't pass such laws until the 1990s. Illinois not until 1988. The place is not called Eleven. It is 7-Eleven. The scene where Joyce yelled at the Russian-speaking investigator would have been awesome if she said, "Don't make me call my little friend Beetlejuice!" Yes, I know Beetlejuice wasn't out when this episode was supposed to take place but I also know seat belt use wasn't mandatory there at the time either and young drivers typically never would have demanded anyone to put them on at that time. I think they were dead as people once they began eating all the toxic chemicals.

16:25 mark - Yes, here in America law enforcement officers have the right to take your vehicle (car, truck, boat, etc) if they have a legitimate need for it. The Supreme Court has guidelines on when police can do this. It states that private property can only be seized in cases of emergency or if there is an immediate and impending danger to the public.

To be realistic .....just for the record. Nancy wouldn't have told them to put on their seat belts. Child of that time frame. I can't think of one adult that told me to wear a seat belt as a child. I did sometimes just to play with it or pretend i was an astronaut or something. But we are talking about when I'd go visit my mom at her lunch working at the hospital and folks were able to smoke in the cafeteria. Or at her desk in her office as she smoked. I remember when it was a big deal that folks had to go outside to smoke. Because they could only do it on lunch and breaks instead of while on the job. Seat belts were usually jammed down hard to find in the seat somewhere until you needed them for some kind of thing to strap in that you didn't want to move like groceries lol.

IDK, given the number of times Nancy has already been the de facto squad mum, she's definitely read into seatbelt safety and decided that she doesn't care if it's not fashionable. (Can't relate, they've always been mandatory in Australia as far as I know.)
@OneMinuteChickens5 ай бұрын
@@dartigens10 Seatbelt laws in Australia became mandatory in 1970, making it the first country in the world to introduce such legislation. The laws were initially introduced in Victoria and New South Wales, with the rest of the states and territories following suit in subsequent years. The introduction of seatbelt laws significantly reduced the number of road fatalities and injuries in Australia. Australia has often lead the way in stripping individual choice and freedom from people and giving it over to government. How did you enjoy those COVID lockdowns and "Jabs".?
