Jamie fuckin ATE this role, I honestly can not think of anyone who could've played Henry/1/Vecna like that. You don't trust him and he MAKES you trust him and he continues using that same manipulation as Vecna. He convinces his victims that they should die that they deserve to die and that they are ready to die. It's the opposite of what he did with 11 until he realized that she was not his ally. And the SCRIPT is so good, like you hang on every word he's saying because it's batshit crazy but also you UNDERSTAND it because as crazy as he is, everything he's saying is true. You get him. But you don't want to. But you do. Everything about this character is so fucking well done.

This is undoubtedly the best reveal I've ever seen in any movie or series. Be it Darth Vader or Keyser Soze, we've always found out "This guy is really that guy." Here, we find out that the nice orderly is really number one, who was Henry Creel, who is Vecna. That's one hell of a twist...M. Night Shyamalan should take notes on this (he actually did give the Duffer brothers an early break writing for the show Wayward Pines).

To be fair to yourself, Hannah, the actor for One/Vecna did a PHENOMENAL job at shifting his performance to seem genuinely kind and misunderstood in the start of this episode. He really convinced all of us that maybe we *could* trust him, and maybe he *wasn't* such a creep after all! Only to then kick the villain energy up to 1000 once the implant was taken out. :)

There’s a lot of validity in the things Vecna says about humanity which is why he’s such a scary, compelling character. Because those feelings are real, especially for people who live with depression. Obviously the way he feels is a poor justification for what he does. We see this highlighted by El grasping a moment of immense love at the end of the episode, her mother’s face, a moment that instills hope in her. This makes her stronger than ever before - much stronger than when she took Vecna’s advice to grasp on to fear and anger Thanks for the reactions Hannah, we’re so close to the final season now!

Just so you know Hannah, Vecna is the boss of the Upside Down. When Dustin says ''that Vecna is the Mind Flayer's 5* general'' during the episode, he is wrong. It's actually the other way around. The Mind Flayer is Vecna's creation, that is why it is in the shape of a spider. That's what the last sequence explains.

Back in episode 5, almost the first thing you said was "Why do I recognise this geezer?" I've been looking forward to you reaching That Sequence more than just about any other reactor. Im aware of the fact that there are some people who think that Vecna is a broken/sympathetic villain , and i can understand that cause he was making a bit sense when he told Elevdn that human’s are not perfect and blah blah , but i dont think that that make’s him sympathetic , i mean , what ? , just because human’s are not perfect that make’s it ok for him to kill his mom and sister and then blame their death on his dad ?! , i mean honestly , what did they do to him ?! , especially his sister , what did she do to him ?! , she seemed pretty innocent to me , i dont think thar they were abusive to him , or that he was bullied at school , he just said that everybody thought of him as weird and broken , not that he was abused and bullied. His dad might have done some bad thing’s like he said but still , he didnt hame to ruin his life like that. Vecna/Henry Creel/001 is a pure evil psychopath.
